"Sometimes it's just dumb luck--but in this case, the deputies that arrested him noticed the scar on his chin and it matched with Rudolph's description. They deserve the credit."
I hope they get the reward money... Do you know if they can if they were doing it in their official capacity of employment?

Didn't the U.S. and its allies do a lot of inaccurate bombing during WWII? Yup, and now that we can do it more accurately, we do. WWII bombings of civilians were an evil, but a necessary evil. I have slightly more respect for zealots who shoot doctors, as opposed to tossing a bomb and hoping you hit the right target.

That isn't the point and you know it. What if it wasn't Emily Lyons. What if it was a passerby who happened to walk by the clinic with her children on the way to the bus stop when the bomb went off? Bombings are cowardly, inaccurate, and evil. Cheering them lessens you as a person. Except Catspaw was commenting on Emily Lyons and I was commenting on the same. I never cheered on bombers. If I did I would be posting stuff about how Rudolph is a hero and such.

And who gave Emily Lyons her platform? Why, that'd be the bomber. No one knew who she was until the clinic was bombed, but now she's able to be portrayed as a heroine by the pro-abortion crowd.
And it's nice to see that you can completely ignore the murder of Alice Hawthorne.

Yes, it was part of their official duties, so no reward money.
There's now a press release out from the Justice Dept. confirming the arrest of Rudolph. It's him.

A specious argument.

There's a distinction though that has to be made... Abortion is legal by LAW... Murder is illegal by LAW... You can't bring the morality between abortion and murder into this thread because its not applicable... "The court acknowledges, as I suppose, the validity of the law of God. I see a book kissed here which I suppose to be the Bible, or at least the New Testament. That teaches me that all things whatsoever I would that men should do to me, I should do even so to them. It teaches me further to "remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them." I endeavored to act up to that instruction. I say, I am too young to understand that God is any respecter of persons. I believe that to have interfered as I have done -- as I have always freely admitted I have done -- in behalf of His despied poor, was not wrong, but right. Now if it is deemed necessary that I should forfeit my life for the furtherance of the ends of justice, and mingle my blood further with the blood of my children and with the blood of millions in this slave country whose rights are disregarded by wicked, cruel, and unjust enactments. -- I submit; so let it be done! " - John Brown 1859

Good news catching a fugitive from justice. He will face a fair trial and the truth of, whether or not, he was not involved in the attacks will come out in the trial.

I sent an email to Fox last night, telling them there was no reason to tune to Fox anymore. I know what will be there ... Scott Peterson. I asked if they were aware that there are other things going on in the world.

I never brought any morality to any killing on any thread. Why don't you read the posts? Killing anyone is wrong. All I am saying is don't assume the guy is already guilty, just because the FBI says he is.
On another post, you asked if the police ever just make an arrest without evidence? Sure, it happpens all the time. Haven't you noticed all the people being released from prisons because DNA evidence has now shown them to be innocent?

I almost never watch television, have no cable, and do quite happily without it.

That's a shame...
Rudolph's mistake was... he wasn't homeless in SF or somewhere like that... if he had been... no one would have even gave a second look because of the epidemic of homelessness there...

Well, why wouldn't he? If you're going to take credit in other bombings where people have died, why not? He also could have explained why he did it, assuming there was a reason. He was anti-abortion and anti-gay and that's what (acc to the letters) drove him to do those bombings. Wouldn't a guy like that want to make known why he bombed the Olympics.
Also, the fact that they wrongly accused Jewell. I think the desire to finger someone for a crime that was known internationally could lead them to falsely charge Rudolph.
It seems to me that he had specific reasons for the other bombings and took credit for them, I can't understand why he would do the Olympic park bombings and why he wouldn't take credit. It seems to me that makes you more notorious, and that's what these people want.

And who gave Emily Lyons her platform? On this thread, you - which is what I commented on.

As you did in your posts.
And it's nice to see that you can completely ignore the murder of Alice Hawthorne.
As you ignored the molestation of little boys issue. It was about as relevant to what I am talking about.
