I thought this was a pretty concise timeline, in addition to providing a
"History of Palestine" not influenced by either "Palestinian" or "Zionist" agendas.
I just noticed the author uses "C.E." to designate Christian reckoning. I know that some people here find that offensive, but please keep in mind the author was a Palestinian Jew (in those days all "Palestinians" were Jews) who had to balance 3 different calendar systems.

There never was an independent kingdom of Palestine (except maybe early Biblical times, when they were called Philistines - and probably not Arabs - prior to King David). Throughout the entire period of Moslem domination, whatever was called Palestine was actually a province (with very vague or changeable boundaries) of some larger empire and ultimately ruled from Alexandria, Baghdad, Damascus, etc. There never was a distinct nation or nationality which could be called Palestinian.
