OK .... I have a story to tell. We got a very cryptic email today from hubby's sister. We didn't know about it but apparently one of her sons (hubby's nephew) and his wife were in DC last weekend ......

..... and they got to shake the President's hand!!!!!

I don't know any details but I'm assuming that they were at the White House when he arrived back there on Marine 1.

The rest of the story .... nephew's wife is a very pretty brunette. As they were shaking the President's hand, Mark told the President that many people said that his wife reminds them of Laura. So President Bush stepped back, gave Mary a good look, and then said "Well, you do."

I am just dying to know the whole story. We don't have a lot of contact with this nephew and his family ...... but that may change .... starting IMMEDIATELY!

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like you and DrDeb had a wonderful time.

Pardon a little personal plug, but I've added a great photo to my profile. It's at the end, it includes my father, on the left, and me and three of my 4 military brothers. It was taken in the mid-80's and is one of my favorite pics of us in uniform. We always have fun when we do manage to get together. Dad's retired now and my Navy brother has left service as well. I love the "soft shoe" pic! It's the only thing that could pull me away from my 20th viewing of Moulin Rouge... especially during the Roxanne Tango.
