Top 10 reasons for President Bush's Re-election
May 4, 2002

Posted on 05/04/2003 7:25:38 AM PDT by paul in cape

1. Dubya doesn't have to deal with George Mitchell purposely sabotaging the economy ("forcing" 41 to break his "No New Taxes" pledge in exchange for a cut in spending, which, of course, never materialized.)

2. If there's a 3rd party candidate, it will come from the left, not the right.

3. Dubya has kept every promise, and is seen as a moral leader. The public cares about this now. They did not in 1992.

4. Dubya was an unknown running against a known quantity with a good economy as a backdrop. Now he's a known positive quantity, while the Dem candidates all have suspect backgrounds one way or another.

5. National platforms. The Repubs control the White House and both houses of congress. The Dems just look like whiners.

6. Judicial Obstruction. While the unprecidented filibuster of judicial nominees may play well in NYC and LA, most people see it for what it is. Meanwhile, more conservative judges are taking their seats, while liberal judges continue to be overturned.

7. The 'Rats have all the vulnerable seats in the 2004 elections. They'll probbly lose 3-4 in the Senate, and 15-20 in the House. Can anyone say "COATTAILS?"

8. Bush has put back in play New York and California electorally. The 'Rats will have to spend a fortune just to hold those 2, which Dubya doesn't really need, leading to

9. The Rats spending a ton of money in the primaries, with little left for the general election.

10.AND THE BEST. I can't imagine anyone who voted for Dubya NOT voting for him again, while those who held their nose and voted for ALGORE are most certainly firmly encamped with the President now. The neo-commies will still vote for the 'Rats, but the great middle loves this President.

In none, Junior. That's the point. For a starter, do a search and read about the logical fallacy of the false choice. Damn, you've got farther to go than I thought.

"Isolationism doesn't work. Ask the former soviet union and china."

hmmm... the fact that they were communist tolitarian regimes that killed millions of their own people has nothing to do with it huh?

anyways, last time i checked, china is still a communist repressive regime.

One can hardly call enforcing current law on illegal immigration and cutting back on legal immigration "isolation".

the comparison you made was absurd.

Top 10 reasons for President Bush's Re-election

10/20/00:

These are the "Top 10 changes that George W. Bush will make in the White House," as read by the Republican candidate on "Late Show with David Letterman," according to campaign aide Mindy Tucker:

10. To save taxpayer dollars, calls to winning sports teams will be collect.

9. New rule at Cabinet meetings: You can't talk until you ride the mechanical bull.

8. Goodbye, boring presidential radio address; Hello, "Dick Cheney spins the hits of the '80s, '90s and today."

7. Make sure the White House library has lots of books with big print and pictures.

6. Just for fun, issue an executive order commanding my brother, Jeb, to wash my car.

5. First day in office, my mother's face goes up on Mount Rushmore.

4. Looking into hiring a security guard for our nuclear secrets.

3. Will not get sick on Japanese leaders like other President Bushes I know.

2. Give Oval Office one heck of a scrubbing.

1. Tax relief for all Americans except smart-aleck talk show hosts.

Just make sure that your tinfoil hat is on tight and ignore the fact that the implant you received as a kid instead of a smallpox vaccination is actually a tracking device. Hope you didn't use flouride or have silver dental fillings. Both are tools for Echelon and Carnivore intercepts.

I didn't want to report your subversive activities to the CFR and the Trilateral Commission, but I was forced to do so pursuant to the Patriot Act II and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

When the black helicopters come, it should be swift and painless. Enjoy the padded cell and give my regards to Elvis. :-)

"Isolationism doesn't work."

I wasn't advoating isolationism. My point was is that legal immigration in an organized manner with the development of a common language and values is what made the US strong. The present situation with massive illegal immigration and large immigrant groups with little motivation to assimilate is weakening and will destroy the US. A country is being created which is divided by language, culture and national identity. We even have groups that are advocating dual citizenship and reunification with their parent country, in the case of the American southwest.

3. Patsy Buchanan's Black Helicopter Brigadiers.

Nice to see that #3 still hangs out on FR to whine

Yep, they are a small lot but very vocal. They pick out two or three issues and keep hammering them, while leaving out issues such as tax cuts, strong military, doing a lot more for the pro-life movement than Reagan ever did, not giving military secrets to the Chicoms, etc. etc.

Jammer and Gummy are classic malcontents. They are proud of being "independent and principled". They are so independent and principled that they would rather see a Hillary admintistration, IMHO.

tax cuts, strong military, doing a lot more for the pro-life movement than Reagan ever did, not giving military secrets to the Chicoms, etc. etc.

Well, another ridiculous post by Dane. I only have 4 posts over the weekend saying that the tax cuts are inadequate--with this economy and over ten years, they should be in the 3-4 trillion dollar range. During the debate over the war, I posted long, long jeremiads decrying Klinton's decimating the military. I would like to see an example of how any of them do much for the pro-life movement other than words. And, as for not giving secrets to the Chicoms, there's no need to praise anyone for that--that's a sine qua non. The only need to talk about that is to prosecute those who do.

Young Rhino, I hope you don't become a pinggoon like Dane, but if you do, you can learn the technique from no better: avoid any discussion of the question raised by the poster, throw a liberal heaping of ad hominem attacks into the irrelevancies, and, voila, you have it! I don't usually respond to his posts any more, but had to in this case so that you could get a lesson. Please don't go down that road--think for yourself.

I must say that you have developed the ill-define, marginalize, ridicule technique well, though.

There is only one reason for President Bush's Re-election and that is the security of this nation and he will protect this nation. National Security is the issue that wins big.

Now Mr. President get the troops on the border and the protection will be complete.
