I'm tired of the democratic hypocrisy and the republican's impotent response. Frist should force the dems to use a REAL filibuster if they are going to filibuster these nominees. And, Bush should fill EVERY vacancy with recess appointments of these same nominees that will remain in effect until the nominees are given an up-or-down confirmation vote in the Senate.

But Louise Bogard, legal director for the Alliance for Justice — one of the groups that opposed the nominations of Charles Pickering and Estrada — said the fight over Estrada has strengthened the Democrats' resolve to block the promotions of Charles Pickering and other conservative judges. Charles Pickering has been nominated for a seat on an appeals court that hears cases from Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
