On Easter of all days, Gary Trudeau uses his Doonesbury cartoon to insult Christians in general, and George Bush's faith in particular. How quick the liberals are to condemn someone else's faith and belief system, but just let a Christian say anything negative about another's belief system and how quick they are to invoke an injunction against "judgementalism."

The Two-&-Seventy Fundamental Sects do not always agree,
Nor can they span the Gulf betwixt the Máh & the Máhi.
I will have to read about Jepthah again, he is not fresh in my memory. After doing so, I will post my response.
Samson killed a ton of people, when the "spirit of the Lord" was within him. (throughout Judges)
Same with Samson....vague memories as to whom it was that he slayed....from my vague memories, he went against those who were killing and persecuting the Jews.
Not to be outdone, David killed even more. In fact, he murdered entire towns of people, and stole all their stuff. (1Sam 27:9-11) But that wasn't good enough, so he dabbled in torture a bit. (2Sam 4:12 and 12:31)
As far as David: He had underlings killed who, at their own direction, killed King Saul and his son. This was done only because they thought it would please David. What these folks did was wrong. David would not allow random murders, much less reward radicalism. In its proper context, therefore:
2 Samuel 4:
9 David answered Recab and his brother Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, "As surely as the LORD lives, who has delivered me out of all trouble, 10 when a man told me, 'Saul is dead,' and thought he was bringing good news, I seized him and put him to death in Ziklag. That was the reward I gave him for his news! 11 How much more-when wicked men have killed an innocent man in his own house and on his own bed-should I not now demand his blood from your hand and rid the earth of you!" 12 So David gave an order to his men, and they killed them. They cut off their hands and feet and hung the bodies by the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-Bosheth and buried it in Abner's tomb at Hebron.
2 Samuel 12:
Meanwhile Joab fought against Rabbah of the Ammonites and captured the royal citadel. 27 Joab then sent messengers to David, saying, "I have fought against Rabbah and taken its water supply. 28 Now muster the rest of the troops and besiege the city and capture it. Otherwise I will take the city, and it will be named after me." 29 So David mustered the entire army and went to Rabbah, and attacked and captured it. 30 He took the crown from the head of their king [3] -its weight was a talent [4] of gold, and it was set with precious stones-and it was placed on David's head. He took a great quantity of plunder from the city 31 and brought out the people who were there, consigning them to labor with saws and with iron picks and axes, and he made them work at brickmaking. [5] He did this to all the Ammonite towns. Then David and his entire army returned to Jerusalem.

Now, which theory of evolution was the Pope praising when he said,
Today, almost half a century after the publication of the encyclical, new knowledge has led to the recognition of the theory of evolution as more than a hypothesis.
Would you kindly quote my "statements against Genesis and Christ's statements in the Bible?"
What I objected to in the Doonesbury strip was the attempt to equate Creationism with ignorance and to thereby slur the President and, by implication, Christians in general. I say Christians in general because, although not all Christians are Creationists, that is the stereotype employed by the left, and if the left is successful in denigrating Creationists, then they hope to be successful in denigrating Chrisitianity in general.
I understand your dismay, but please don't feel bad. It is entirely possible that God can use discussions like these to open eyes. In a forum this size, opinions do abound.
I think the reason that evolutionists fall on both sides of the political fence is because evolution is a secular philosophy. Many Conservatives and most Liberals hold to secular beliefs.
Creationists, however, tend to be conservative because they are mostly Bible believing Christians....and the Bible, taken literally, is full of conservative teachings. Personnally I know of no Christian Creationists who are liberals. I guess there could be a few out there somewhere....
Where did I say that? What I am doing is showing the imbecility of the evolutionist unitarian principle (that everything has been the same way as it is today).
Now I will show that your statement, like many other statements by evolutionists on these threads is absolute bunk and a 'snow' job ad hoc made up nonsense. You said in post# 256):
In addition, as ice changes from new-snowfall type ice to glacial ice, there is about a 90 to 1 compression.
Everyone that has made ice cubes in the fridge knows that ice takes up more volume than water. However 10 inches of snow equal one inch of water. So your statement that snow gets reduced to 1/90th in an effort to back up a fellow evo's false statement is totally false and totally made up for the occassion.
Unlike you and your fellows, I back up my statements. Here's the story: College of Agriculture and Economics .
Yes, you do attack Christians. Let's see one single post by you friendly to Christians and to Christianity - just one. You call everyone who disagrees with evolution an 'creationist'. Well, how about that. In the first place not everyone who disagrees with evolution is even Christian, let alone a fundamentalist. There are many Jews who oppose evolution and even atheists who do not believe in that nonsense. But to you, the anti-Christian, they are all 'creationists'. You are sliming every Christian who does not believe in your Darwinian religion for that is what it is. You put Darwin's words - man came from an ape above the Bible's 'God created man'. You put the atheist life from non-living matter above the Bible's 'God Created Life'. You call Adam and Eve a fairy tale. You have called Christ's saying that Adam and Eve were real people 'a story'. You deny miracles. You deny that God has done anything at all after creating the Universe. So, yes, you are not a Christian and you are following in the great tradition of other atheists of trying to pass yourself off as a Christian in order to deceive others - just like your hero Darwin did throughout his lifetime.
Again I ask you:
What part of Christianity do you believe in? What part of the Bible do you agree with?
Oh, I see, it only snows when it is convenient for evolutionists, but it stops when the absurdity of their claims is displayed. It is evolutionists who say that it has been snowing the same way forever in Greenland, not I.
No kidding! Which is exactly the point I have been making - the snow has not been piling up in Greenland since the begining of the Earth at a uniform rate which is what evolutionists constantly claim.
Let's see, the evolutionists here are defending Trudeau, bashing Christians, saying that the Bible cannot be taken literally (implying that it is not TRUE) and you folks dare call yourselves anything but atheists? Here is what evolution is, not from me, but from an evolutionist:
Now a third one of Darwin's great contributions was that he replaced theological, or supernatural, science with secular science. Laplace, of course, had already done this some 50 years earlier when he explained the whole world to Napoleon. After his explanation, Napoleon replied, "where is God in your theory?" And Laplace answered, "I don't need that hypothesis." Darwin's explanation that all things have a natural cause made the belief in a creatively superior mind quite unnecessary. He created a secular world, more so than anyone before him. Certainly many forces were verging in that same direction, but Darwin's work was the crashing arrival of this idea and from that point on, the secular viewpoint of the world became virtually universal.
Ernst Mayr - What Evolution Is - Edge Magazine 10/31/01
So that means that you believe that God created life, that God created man?
A better word would be religious hatred.
Evolution vs. Creation is not a left vs. right or liberal vs. conservative issue.
I am afraid you are wrong there. If you will notice, just about all the leftists are materialists. Evolution is so materialistic that it was wholeheartedly praised by Marx as giving scientific backing to his theory. He even wanted to dedicate Das Kapital to Darwin but Darwin, wishing to keep his religious views hidden in order to deceive the public, declined the offer. Basic principles do matter.
