[history]
Democrats are so confident that Big Labor is in their pocket they often forget what it is unions need most -- jobs.
Sometimes even labor leaders forget that, as they blindly sign on to a job-killing agenda of high taxes, big spending and excessive regulation.

Hoffa is a person who would, and has, supported Republicans in the past. At least he doesn't blindly follow unlike other union leaders.

"At least he doesn't blindly follow..."
You mean like most "conservatives" follow the republican party?

I hope and pray the man has good security.

There is some evidence that many black voters are reevaluating their allegiance to democrats. Even Donna Brazile, al gore's campaign manager, has addressed the issue of black voters moving away from the democrats. EXCELLENT!
No thinking person should give blind allegiance to a political party or agenda. If a party takes your vote for granted, what incentive do the leaders have to listen to your voice? Effectively, you have given away your vote, even when you disagree in principle. Democrats in Tennessee and West Virginia denied al gore the presidency because they were convinced, rightly or wrongly, he would take away their right to own guns.

Trust Hoffa like you trust a snake. LOL. Yeah but he is OUR cute little snake.
Actually ANWR drilling will produce loads of Teamster jobs, just as the Alaska pipeline did. Alaska is full of unemployed Teamster members at this point.

I hope the unions follow through with this. Even if Repulicans get a little union support it would help.
I hope the minorities, especially blacks, will also start looking at what the Democrats are doing to hurt them and start looking at how Republican policies will help.

Yeah, except that a number of Teamster Union Locals were completely in the control of the Mafia, which looted the Teamster retiree's pensions before Ronald Reagan's DOJ cleaned them up.

He may be a snake, but he has millions to spend and millions of votes in his back pocket.
We have a golden opportunity here to cut the legs out from under the Democratic Party by helping the unions secure American jobs for Americans. We should seize this opportunity as soon as possible.

Not in union politics amigo. Hoffa sees a base of dues dropping like hot rocks, and not just due to jobs, but due to people getting out of unions because they see the corruption and ties to democrats.
When he says "our number one concern is jobs" he means "our number one concern is union jobs" with dues paying members. He does not give one flying you know what about jobs in our country other than union ones, period.
You watch, it will remain at least 85-20 percent money going to democrats.
To: msuMD
