WASHINGTON

Yeah, right!!!
You know that's what they're going to suggest next, don't you? They'll call it "Johnny Doe's Act", or "Janey Roe's Law" or something like that, tell us it's to help find and return kidnapped children...You know the drill : "If it help save one chiiiiiiiiiillldd"...For cases where the parents split up, and the NCP tries to take the kid out of the country, maybe to some ME Islamic state or a European country where they hate the USA anyway, so the laws and treaties on returning parental abductee children are simply ignored. They'll pretend such a law could *somehow* prevent NCP kidnapping, maybe even stranger abduction, so if you're against it, that means you hate children.
Heck, they already have parents bringing their kids in for fingerprinting over "stranger abduction" fears , new parents won't blink an eye over this!
Why, with my proposal, plus the WH's proposal, plus GPS implants-mandatory for the military and parolees/probationers, "voluntary" for the rest of us-they'll have a completely controllable, trackable populace of herd animals in no time!(And this isn't even considering things like cell phones, credit card receipts, the "phasing out" of paper money and substituting debit cards...)
You get my "Best Answer of the Day" Award. It's early yet, but I'm convinced you'll win hands down regardless.
Although I might give it the best of the year.
In the USA, liberty is now considered synonymous with "consumer choice" (IOW, lots of things to buy), and with 'group rights', which elevate some over others .
I doubt this is accidental.
You can do what you want as long as you follow regulations; pay 45% of your income in taxes; and let the government track your activity.
You can also elect any politician that the Republicans and Democrats put up for office.
Wow I feel Free-errrr already!!
Are you sure?
There are a lot of snide uninformed childish replies on articles like this... they sometimes are misinterpreted.
Think about it.
Saddam might be the vilest person on earth, but go into your room, pull down the shades, take out a pad.
Make two columns.
In one column list everything that Saddam did to *you*, add everything the nutty Talebin did to *you*, add in everything that the fruitcake Kim Il did to *You* Then sum up that column.
Go to the other column.
List there every way that some other government has screwed you around. It might take you some time, hopefully you'll finish by April 15th.
Then sum up that column.
Which column is bigger?
Sssh. Don't tell me, don't even say it out loud.
Just tell these "Conservative" Republicans "Please, sir, can I have some more"?
Very well said. Its ONLY about more power for the government. No matter how you slice or dice, that is the bottom line
Now, can I have somemore please, oh conservative Republicans??
This is scary. So is the medical release laws on medical records. If you DON'T want someone else to access YOUR medical records, well, it really doesn't matter. IF a DOCTOR deems it appropriate then the DOCTOR can OVER RIDE YOUR privacy and send your medical information to who ever wants it. No kidding. This is another Bush privacy debacle.
Dont try to tell this to 90% of the memebers on this forum.
Child porn was found on so-and-so's computer
I'm serious. It's invariably there. This means , I believe , one of two things:
A. All people wanted for federal crimes are such scum bags they're bound to enjoy kiddie porn.
OR
B.FBI and DJ agents are sending illicit images to the hard drives of people they intend to arrest and charge, to make damn sure the jury convicts, just on general principles.
Gee, I wonder which is more likely.
The last case I can remember was last summer. Think the guy was arrested for tax evasion, the agents that arrested him confiscated his (legal) firearms and his computer, and -viola! "child pornography was found on_____ 's computer". But unfortunately, I no longer have the article.
I believe they are already if not framing people,at least adding 'icing to the cake' to make convictions easier to get.
