NBC News is reporting that F-16s dropped two precision-guided bombs on the residence of "Chemical" Ali just south of Basra. The Pentagon is telling them that they believe Ali was in his home at the time and was killed during the strike. They caution that they need to have confirmation on the ground to be sure, but it sounds like a good hit!

Actually, on Fox.... they announced that BaghdadBob, the minister of information, has invited all the journalist there in iraq to take a bus ride to the airport tomorrow to see that it's still in Iraqi hands.
This ought to be interesting.

One of the funniest speculations offered here was a scenario where Dan Rather's historic interveiw was conducted with one of Saddam's Doubles
LOL I love it!

"We heard this 10 days ago...." Exactly! I am not believing any of these "kill" stories until I see the people of Iraq beating upon the dead bodies of these Iraqi leaders. The people of Iraq need to know for certain that these brutal leaders are truly dead, not just assumed dead or have left the country.

So he has no heirs left that could become politicians and reestablish another dictatorship. It depends on if the children were complicit and also what their age is. I doubt children under the age of 12-13 or so would be complicit or be able to reason in a manner that would be revealing in regards to their father. My guess is that they did not even know - I doubt people were coming up to the kids and saying "your father gassed thousands of people to death".

If Chemical Ali was at that hospital in Nasiriyah during PFC Lynch's captivity, how could he have gotten to a house south of Basra?
To: SHKMAN1212; All
A thousand deaths are not enough for Chemical Ali.

Any news on the tour? Guess Baghdad Bob was being a bit optomistic about those "beautiful martyrdom operations" that he touted the other day.

"Bob's got a career in show bidness."
He is hilarious! Strangely, it does not make me mad whatsoever when he is out there spewing his lies. He is a cartoon character.
I want him taken ALIVE for entertainment purposes only!!
