Iraqi TV: Saddam Hussein (or double)walking down street
Fox News via Iraqi TV | 4/4/2003 | Fox News via Iraqi TV

Posted on 04/04/2003 9:28:19 AM PST by GAGOPSWEEPTOVICTORY

Video shows Saddam walking down alleged Baghdad Street. Typical Iraqi celebration with Iraqis dancing on street with guns. Saddam embracing a kid. I think you can see a fire the background from an oil well. Overcast day.

Also, if the Arab World sees Saddam is in charge, how would that motivate them to get involved?

They are being told we are losing the war, so how is this going to help him?

This must be the Disinformation Minister's idea of "unconvential but not military".

Somebody at one of the networks will probably remember it this afternoon and find it, if it is indeed old footage.

Thing is, people have completely forgotten about the Desert Fox bombings; they need to look at footage other than 1991.

The boss of Saddams' 25 body doubles calls 'em in for a meeting. "Guys", he says, "I've got good news and bad news. The good news is that Saddam is alive. The bad news is he lost an arm".

Heard on Brian Suit's show on KVI in Seattle.

it is obvioulsy baghdad based on the statues. the smoke plumes are there. the only question is whether it is a double. what the hell is our intelligence doing. we supposedly have agents inside the city, drones flying, even if this is a double, couldn't we have spotted it and attacked it? this is not some short 5 minute appearance, he (or the double) was outside for a long time.

General Downing just asked from Kuwait why on a 100+ day would some people around Saddam be wearing jackets. He said it is hot in Kuwait and even hotter in Baghdad and these people do not look hot!

Yeah, and a lot of them are in long sleeved shirts. I don't know if it is cultural, but that doesn't make sense given the temperature.

I don't know if this is Saddam or not but I do know one thing...in a town of 5 million, this guy sure didn't draw much of a crowd.

I think this was to rally his troops. Last night the Iraqi military were going through neighborhoods asking the residents to drive/walk to Baghdad Airport. Thought that was strange.

Could be very dangerous for our troops in the next few days. Haven't heard if power is back on in Baghdad to even get TV.

He looks rested and well. Almost jolly - throwing a kid up in the air. People licking his boots. Funny thing - he doesn't trust his inner circle and yet he walks in an open market? Come on. Whatever else these guys are, they are masters of propaganda.

Put a beret on Geraldo and who does he look like? There were several angles from which the guy looked like Jerry.

hmmm. I say it's a double, or old video. He looks younger to me. If it is a recent video, I believe it's a double, and all the "civilians" hoot'n and hollerin are actually military in civilian clothes. I've not seen a single female.

Actually, it's crowds who are afraid of Al Gore, as witnessed at his non-book signings

And who can blame them? Would you want to get too close to that sweat-dripping windbag?

Theres no way that's him. First of all, he's thinner then the pics I have seen in the past. second, he looked like he was high fivin the crowd, and third, there's wayyy tooo much traffic. He doesn't hold his head up so anyone can get a good look. I may be wrong, but I doubt it is really him.

When it gets over 100, even desert heat is very hot! Long sleeves on the street would still be hot!

The video footage, although billed as live, was broadcast after dark in Iraq and Saddam was seen walking, surrounded by chanting Iraqis, in the daylight.

Picky Picky Picky

LOL

Why does this look so much like the tapes broadcast by Iraqi TV in the 1991 war?

Do you really think he would be stupid enough to walk down the street with bombs dropping around the city?

Agreed. And based on what you've said, the evidence that he is dead is even more overwhelming.
