I believe the tapes they are showing now, are the ones that were suppose to have been on tv a few days ago, when Hussein was a no show...
They had to tweak the tape to show it.
I am sure it is putting doubt in the minds of the poor Iraqi's, though.
Where is Peter Arnett in those photos? That is all they need...

No they aren't. There are prophets who have been proven to be reliable. You just don't see them on tv. God is still speaking to His people today, as He always did.

This could be easy to explain.
Recall that when the helicopter went down, the official Iraqi position, immediately released, was that the chopper was shot down by a farmer. We know that the farmer story is not true, but why was it reported so quickly?
Was the film of Saddam making the statement about a farmer shooting down a helicopter already in the can? If so, the Iraqis could merely have been seizing an opportunity to generate a perception of credibility.

Baghdad Minister of Propoganda is reporting that America is bringing in Saddam look alikes, or doubles to cause confusion. CNN is stating that at the same time this video was being shown, there was another crowd cheering a fake Saddam that was actually an American plant that is doubling as Saddam in the Ali Hadenuf district of Baghdad.....

Maybe they waited till after a viable opportunity--a helicopter shot down possibly by small arms fire--before they released the video.

It wouldn't matter if he "named" the farmer. It's a fake story anyway!
If the script has Saddam saying, "Mohammed al-Sharpshooter shot down an Apache in our glorious vicotory over America," don't you think the regime knows to produce the very "Mohammed al-Sharpshooter" as soon as a shoot-down occurs? I think they would have read the script! And how would we know whether the guy who was portrayed a few days ago as the one who "shot down" the Apache is really Mohammed al-Sharpshooter?
