I don't think Gen. Vince has called on that reporter from the Hong Kong paper (or if he did, I missed it). Her questions are off the wall.

Didn't stop a reporter from the Communist Cascade area (Seattle) from asking if Americans are safer and better off now that we attacked Iraq. (Sorry, I was so pissed off screaming at the reporter that I missed the answer.)

I didn't listen to the answer either, but I suspect it was in the nature of "I don't know, probably. Why don't you ask the Homeland Security folks."

Agreed it was a lame question -- but a few press conferences were 95% lame questions, hurled with a sneer. This presser has a distinctly different flavor. I still hope the leftist media grow less influential, loses readership, etc.

Could they (finally) be running out of moronic questions to ask?

No, they are a font of vacuousness.

Brig Gen Brooks is fantastic!

He handles the press like putty. This smart, sharp and articulate General is going places.

Mustang sends from "Malpaso" News.

LOL no I saw that one and it earned my vote for the day for the most ridiculous question and I absolutely loved the answer she was given...I was mainly talking about the man that asked that question daily the first few days of the briefings

Russkie asking about civilian market incidents. Getting his infor from the regime in Baghdad. dumb

answer: civ casualaties reported through a number of sources. We know civs are killed in war. Great doubt about numbers reported by regime. Certainly there have been civ casualties the regime has inflicted. We take care to try to not cause them.

Good for the General. The media pool seems a little quiet this morning. (Maybe he told them about this thread.)

Could they (finally) be running out of moronic questions to ask?

Nope...but the phrase "dumber than a box of rocks" comes to mind when I hear these reporters' questions.

[Now, Gen. Brooks knows how Ari feels every day.]

Make sure you read the Washingon Times story about him that Mo posted. It's around post 300. He comes from a military family. His family has refused any public comments. He's a West Point grad. His older brother is current commandant. Dad and Uncle both Brig. Gens. IIRC.

OMG! Q: Short of a surrender, how will you know when you have control of the country? (he thought long and hard about that question, I see)
