Make sure you read the Washingon Times story about him that Mo posted. It's around post 300. He comes from a military family. His family has refused any public comments. He's a West Point grad. His older brother is current commandant. Dad and Uncle both Brig. Gens. IIRC.

Gen. Vince Brooks is great. The day he subtlely manhandled the guy from New York magazine whining about the press briefings being given by underlings and not Tommy Franks was masterful.
