The death of one man is NOT the death of the regime (obviously). We are after displacing this regime, not killing one guy. You and I know that....but the aforementioned, the peaceniks, and everyone else who'll try to get us out of there early don't realize it.

his final miscalculation.
To: patent
This is probably true.
And of course it will force the hand of the regime and make them angry as heck at the infidel pigs, trying to counter that he is alive. But (outside of the gullible/hopeful/myth-steep Arabic world) they will just look like the laughing stock of the world.
Brilliant.
I am waiting for even more Free Iraq TV broadcasts from our side that will start to harp on the fact that the king is dead, and the masses will be encouraged to come out and celebrate.

While I don't think he's in hell, mainly because even Satan couldn't stand the bastard, there is a good chance there are 72 virgins with this anti-Christ. May five of them look like Eleanor Clift, Hillary Clinton, Helen Thomas, Ellen Ratner and Janene Garafalo. Can you imagine what it would be like spending eternity with such a collection of harpies?

I try not to...LoL

I realize I already posted this right after the "live" speech 2 Sundays ago...
Did anyone watch Christiane Amanpour's reaction, along with her ditzy sidekick, Datyn Keegan (sp?)? Whereas every other news reporter (I was switching channels) expressed grave doubt on the sincerity of the tape's "live" status, she was adamant that it was live because SH mentioneed by name Um Kassar (sp?). Shows her biased leanings. She was a disgrace. She wouldn't even allow for the POSSIBILITY that it was a fraud. She said that the was "clearly live, clearly he was in command", etc.
I may be getting ahead of myself, as this may refer to an earlier broadcast... but... just throwing my 2 cents in.

So's Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Charlie Rangel, Al Gore and the rest of the disloyal opposition. This group of sad-sacks is so out of touch with the American people it's like they're AWOL too...

Probably should have deleted that portion. I just cut and paste the whole e-mail and posted it. Some editing would have been appropriate.

Of course. I think the one major miscalculation many outside of those involved in "the plan" made was that the Baathists could not operate without Saddam. They can't run a serious military operation, but they can rape, pillage and generally be cowardly savages, which is what much of the Iraqi "resistance" has been.
One seems to forget what a totalitarian regime is capable of with a degraded command and control. The ghoulish Baathist state in Iraq is a place the Stalin of June-August 1941 would be comfortable in. Saddam, dead or alive, unleashed thousands of (according to an NBC embed report) Syrian and Palestinian assholes upon Iraq and our soldiers who answer to only their deepest, darkest obsessions. Also, there are a number of senior Iraqi officials who have nothing to lose and for reasons known only to themselves are using this conflict to keep what should be dead, alive.
I personally believe Saddam is in Hell with his 72 Rachel Corries. What finally decided it for me was when RG units were pulled from his precious hometown of Tikrit.
