True, but it does make them susceptible to other more intensive propaganda that may not be very healthy for them or for our nation.

I think this may be a case in point where it shows just how powerful the media is and how, if we're not careful, it could lead us down the wrong path.

That could well be, especially if they were caused by gunshots. Nasty wounds, those. Also, if she did have some sort of vertebral fracture, surgery would be required in that case.

Bottom line is that, absent any official information regarding her exact condition, we know very little. We will find out, though, and fairly soon.

I agree; and at another hospital soldiers had found bloodied female soldiers' uniforms, names removed. Sounds bad, too.

You flat out stated that she deserved nothing more than the Purple Heart in another thread.

I wish you would link my comments because I said that she should definitely receive at least a Purple Heart and a campaign medal and any other that she DESERVES after the facts have been investigated.

You have already decided that she is just an injured soldier without any information firsthand.

And where, exactly, am I wrong about that statement? The truth, as it stands now, is that she was injured. How? We don't know.

This may sound odd but didn't the female POW from Gulf 1 also have two broken arms? I believe so as well as being raped.

I remember reading that she broke her arms when the helicopter crashed, but I could be wrong.

(AP) - The father of rescued POW Army Pfc. Jessica Lynch said Thursday that she was in great spirits following her first surgery and denied reports she was shot and stabbed during her captivity in Iraq.

"We have heard and seen reports that she had multiple gunshot wounds and a knife stabbing. The doctor has not seen any of this," Gregory Lynch Sr. said.

Wait a minute ! ... the Washington comPost along with ballbusting feminists almost had the story as Pfc. Lynch singlehandedly taking out a machinegun nest with a penknife !

I'm pleased Pfc. Lynch is safe and sound. I'm more than happy we're kickin' major Iraqi ass. However, I refuse to be suckered into buying into the myth that women belong on the front lines in the military. Women perform splendidly in other roles. Humpin' a mortar in sand is not one of those roles. Expending a batallion of Marines as a decoy and sending in a full SEAL team and a full Army CAG team to save one female Pfc. is not a wise expenditure of limited resources in a battle theatre. Arguing otherwise seems foolish.

The realign her spinal column. She had no feeling in her feet.

In addition to breaking both of her legs and an arm, her captors evedentally treated her pretty roughly.

I hope we make it a point to find them.

She broke her arms in the helicopter crash.
She was "fondled" in her words, on the way to the prison she was held in. She was criticized by some for not revealing this for several months, but most of her public comments indicate she didn't reveal it because she didn't think it was that big of a deal. She also indicated that her injuries were treated appropriately by Iraqi physicians, and in fact, that they (the Iraqi physicians) treated her with some respect when they found out the she was a physician.
Her name is Rhonda Cornum, if you google her name you can find all of this.
I've met her, she is "poster child" all-military.
The facts are good enough, all our sevice men and women deserve our thanks and respect.

What ever is wrong with you?? If many people need an event to rally around in time of war, what's it to you? What is the harm, given that the truth eventually be known -- or not?

After all is said and done, it is an indisputable fact that she was in a combat environment, was wounded there, and was rescued from captivity by several other brave warriors who cared enough to put their lives on the line for one of their own. I repeat, one of their own -- and one of our own as well..........
