I'm showing my age. I saw him during a leave one time in the early 80's. That song stays glued in my mind. That was about all that night, but I know the song by heart.

I wonder if any of the human shields are afraid of the dark?

Wouldn't it just blow everyone away if when the lights came back on, Rumsfield announces extreme progress in the war, live from the information ministry in Baghdad, with Saddam behind him trussed up like a turkey.....then declares the US territory of New Texas. Rudy Guilliani would be sworn in as the provisional governor until th the local yokels get there Sh*t together....

Ok...this is strange...
MSNBC bagdad cam has picture (nice nightvision green), but no sound, CBS cam has sound, but no picture.
If these were from the same vantage point, I would have both running...but I'm not so sure they line up...

I would say you're nuts! ANYTHING that moves on rooftops is fair game my friend. And believe me, my snipers would be picking your butts off the minute you lit a smoke or even f*rted if we could get a visual on you within 500 yards.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- Large sections of the Iraqi capital plunged into darkness Thursday night as loud explosions thundered through the outskirts of the city.
The blasts persisted for nearly 15 minutes before the power went off -- the first widespread electrical failure in Baghdad since the U.S.-led bombardment began two weeks ago.
The reason for the loss of power was not immediately clear. However, U.S. troops from the 3rd Infantry Division were reported to be 15 miles south of the center of Baghdad.
As the U.S. ground forces were advancing earlier in the day, a televised statement attributed to Saddam Hussein exhorted the Iraqi people to "fight them with your hands."

They should let old glory wave from the rooftops in the morning. Would it freak them out to have the lights come on and every building in town flying the Stars and Stripes? Tariq would have apoplexy...

#61. I'm showing my age, too, but how I remember one infamous Monday night game when Dandy Don sang "Turn Out The Lights" in the *third* quarter. My beloved (at the time) Cleveland Browns were getting trounced by their arch rivals the Baltimore Colts. Oh, the ignominy!!
