I like Geraldo. He talks about how honorable the entire effort is.
He likes the troops and they like him.

They SHOUL INDEED revoke MSNBC's FAA license, and their FCC license too while they're at it!!!!!!!!!!!!

In one word: YES. I haven't talked to any of my friends from Tampa in a while (duh) but I'm sure they'll fill me in upon their return. I knew they hated CNN but if NBC thinks they won any points with Arnett's stunt (which they could have not broadcast) then they blew it. I think there will be fewer "exclusives" coming to Brokaw and company.

ABC and CBS radio news reported it in a press release from CENTCOM. Guess CENTCOM made it up too!

Looks like a few FR people have pie all over their faces. Exactly. I've always thought Geraldo was doing a good job with the troops. They obviously like him, and he's not afraid to get into the action.

"
Geraldo is great for the troops morale. He doesn't talk down to them------"You're right, but why does he always have to be the center of attention? Even in this live report, showing the lie from CNNNBC, he had to have some of the troops cheer him on?
He kinda laughs things off, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was chided for his 'sand map'. Even I, who knows nil about strategy, was taken back by that little scene.
Now we know why Fox didn't say anything about the earlier report on Geraldo, I wonder how soon CNNNBC will retract. They even went to say he had been escorted back to Kuwait. Fox can have the last laugh and that's just fine with me.

The SNL Daryl Hammond parodies of Jerry Rivers on the Iraqi/Afghanistan war front are classic, I want him to stay for that reason alone

(can't stand the Fox coffee crew)Me either. That is about the only time I switch to MSNBC or CNN. I don't know why they don't do something about that time slot....it really stinks.

A press release? Wholly fabricated, or from whom?

You have to admit it. This guy has had a great run. What a life.

I do not believe Geraldo should still be in theater after the info he gave out live over the air on the specifics of his units location. My sentiments exactly! But seems like we are in the minority!

That would be one of my peeves with Geraldo, he's his own cheering section. Just report the facts and leave off manufacturing a "good time".

Somebody has played NBC for a fool...looks like they ran with a rumor because they hoped it would detract attn from Arnett. Who fed them the rumor, I wonder...?

I caught it on tape. Geraldo says (in part):
"MSNBC is so pathetic a cable news network that they have to do anything they can to attract attention but you can rest assured that anything they are saying is a pack of lies. I'm having a great relationship with the 101st Airborne. I intend to march into Baghdad along side them and my only complaint is there is not powder for beer in the MREs."

I take back what I said on a previous thread about my disappointment with FOX about not coming clean on the Rivera story.
Apparently there was nothing to acknowledge, as MSNBC (the "Marines Say (it's) Nothing But Crap network) made up the whole BS story in the first place.
FOX was brilliant, letting the fools run the story a few dozen times, before bringing on Geraldo live from a captured Baath Party Headquarters in Iraq.
Roger Ailes is FOX's version of George S. Patton.
