I've been out the past few days. What did he do that would necesitate being fired? Just having an interview with an Iraqi TV station? Is that treasonous?

Bwahahahaha!!!! Couldn't happen better to a f*cked up bottom sucking, pond scum low life loser like Baghdad Pete than to lose his job with an American network. There are other expletives that come to mind but I'll bite my tongue since I don't want this post deleted or get banned from the forum. I think its time Baghdad Pete got his pound of flesh and as for his apologies he can shove them up his Saddam lovin' ass.

he said that the war plan had failed and that his reports were making the anti-war movement more effective.

He basically said the U.S. plan wasn't working and stated that because of his reporting, people in the U.S. were questioning the U.S. position and the goverment.

I bet it pained Matt Lauer to read the letter. <sarcasm

What I want to know is, does bolstering the confidence of the enemy qualify as "Aid and Comfort"?

I was so mad at Arnet yesterday that I emailed and called anyone who sponsored or hired him. There is no need for him to apologize he knew what he was doing. It was treason and he should be put on trial.

You've got it wrong!
He did not apologize, he said that he "wants to apologize". This is a Clintonian apology. When one "wants to apologize", one does not apologize.
Good luck and Good Bye Peter.
Bill from Nutley.
