Exactly the kind of thinking that made him a great general.

General Patton versus God and the Pulpit
Now thats a war!

Everytime I read quotes from Patton, I hear George C. Scott's voice.
BTW, it really means "Thou shall not Murder".

General Patton- one of my favorites. He wouldn't like today's way of waging war.

Patton was one tough cookie. This guy is the very embodiment of old-school.

General George S. Patton
A little OT I admit, but another great observation from Patton

Gen. Patton called these types, "pulpit killers!"
IIRC, General Patton was a very observant Episcopalian.
In the "what if" spirit, if he were re-animated today, I'd tell most of the
folks presiding over the Episcopalian Church to "run for your lives...General Patton
is coming to cleanse the temple...and he ain't gonna' stop with turning over tables
and using a whip like Jesus did!".

NU 31:3 So Moses said to the people, "Arm some of your men to go to war against the Midianites and to carry out the LORD's vengeance on them. [4] Send into battle a thousand men from each of the tribes of Israel." [5] So twelve thousand men armed for battle, a thousand from each tribe, were supplied from the clans of Israel. [6] Moses sent them into battle, a thousand from each tribe, along with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the priest, who took with him articles from the sanctuary and the trumpets for signaling.
NU 31:7 They fought against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses, and killed every man.

What are our choices?
We have an enemy who believes that their God has told them that they should kill us, and be happy to die doing it. And that they will be rewarded in the after-life.
If a group of people are willing to die in the process of killing us -- we have no choice but to kill them FIRST.
It is a bloody thought but it is reality. Let's drop the big bomb!
God forgive us, and God Bless America!

1 Samuel 15
1 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

Too bad we don't have any more like him. But in the world of PC, a Patton would never make it past 0-2!

Unfortunately the religious pacifists will say God was different in the Old Testament (the examples Patton used).
They say Jesus is different and would never sanction war.
Not true...but the pacifists cling to this.

As a Baptist pastor, I can say that Georgie's theology is right on and absolutely in accord with Scripture.
Ignorant, panty-waisted preachers are not only useless, but dangerous!
