***Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - Day 11 - LIVE THREAD***
Everywhere! | 30 Mar 2003 | An.American.Expatriate

Posted on 03/29/2003 9:01:35 PM PST by null and void

Good Morning.

This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.

It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.

Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:

To all who helped this get started, thank you!

Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

"Dirty Laundry" wasn't far from the truth...

And it's even closer today.

Probably a new project for the new satellite channel: IHGTV... Iraqi House Guard TV; Gotta find a way to keep those errant home-field missles from falling on your head... Abdul Vila will probably be by later.

With all these strange sounds coming from the BagCam, it occurred to me, what happens if Abdul Villa gets lucky? Is that something we really want to hear?

I guess the answer to that question depends on if his "guest" is female, male, or a sheep...

Intersting article today in WSJ's OpinonJournal.com.

It goes through a list of who supplied Iraq with it's weapons.

While the US is not innocent, you'll find all we sold them was computers. COMPUTERS! Big deal. Those were easy to come by anyway and we were and are the leading computer manufacturers.

But computers are much different, even if used for weapon development, than the selling of actual weapons. Germany, France, Russia, etc. sold and helped them make chemical, biological and nuclear weapons systems.

This LIE in the liberal press that "the US sold Saddam things like chemical weapons" is typical misinformation by America haters hiding behind the first amendement.

Here's the link - registration is required if you aren't already.

She's the one - I had turned away to MsNBC (what'd I do that for!) and to the basketball game, but she's VERY easy on the eyes...

Dari Alexander is really struggling today. Called the Marines maroons, messing up on the bios of the guests, problem reading the teleprompter. Maybe I am just too picky...

British forces say they have staged a raid into the southern city of Basra to destroy a large statue of Saddam Hussein.

God love the Brits.

I had a tough choice today (once my head cleared out a bit; not feeling well at all today); NCAA, war or NASCAR. Considering I know who Marquette's playing in the Final Four, and I have the links to catch the BaghdadCams (thanks for finding a WMV CNN cam), I chose NASCAR. While Newman ultimately ran away with it, it was a fun race for 2nd between Dale Earnhardt Jr and Jeff (Flash) Gordon.

Could we "accidentally" shoot Arnett when we roll through Baghdad?

John Gibson on FNC reporting about Peter Arnett on Iraqi TV...why doesn't Arnett just become an Iraqi citizen?

I think Peter should be tried for war crimes and executed.

I know, I know, he's on Iraqi TV and is being censored, but he doesn't have to do this.

I'm still gleefully anticipating the reports from the road warriors Labash, Hitchens and O'Rourke that should be coming soon on "The Road to Baghdad"!
