Intersting article today in WSJ's OpinonJournal.com.
It goes through a list of who supplied Iraq with it's weapons.
While the US is not innocent, you'll find all we sold them was computers. COMPUTERS! Big deal. Those were easy to come by anyway and we were and are the leading computer manufacturers.
But computers are much different, even if used for weapon development, than the selling of actual weapons. Germany, France, Russia, etc. sold and helped them make chemical, biological and nuclear weapons systems.
This LIE in the liberal press that "the US sold Saddam things like chemical weapons" is typical misinformation by America haters hiding behind the first amendement.

Thanks for posting this, Great article.
While the US is not innocent, you'll find all we sold them was computers. In the late 80s Iraq was in need of high end computer peripherals especially printers. To get around American export laws they used a third party to try to buy the equipment from IBM in South American. CIA caught on to the deal and arranged with IBM to have a special "add on" included. When war came it seems that the Americans intelligence community had a good idea where the Iraqis offices were located since these "add ons" were a tracking device. Reportedly all of the locations that had these were destroyed in the first week.
