Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Interesting little note on FOX News just now. They ran a clip of an apparent meeting of some Iraqi military and said "See that guy there standing up? He NEVER leaves Saddam's side. Where is Saddam?"
They are saying that it's very strange and they are speculating maybe Saddam might be hurt or worse !

Well, don't forget Clinton (two terms). Actually, I was hoping someone had a link to a source for it somewhere.
Thanks for the try though. :)

we can't bomb a oil trench fire to put it out...a flying tanker like they use out west to put out forest fires could put it out.... We could let it burn out, or apply foam.

there have been 15 two term presidents. go to google.com and type in two term presidents for starters.

Also sounds like a generator running; maybe they are building something to cover it so the noise will be less.

Chris Kline reporting near Kirkuk .....said the fedyeen Saddam now control Mosul. CNN was reporting unloading of tanks and armor up north.

An "ultralight" (by definition!) CAN'T carry very much: a normal sized person (130-180 lbs) plus a few hand grenades, or maybe a very light person with a few dozen pounds of chemical (that would dispurse almost harmlessly before reaching the ground....)
Spoting for enemy cannon is more likely. As is flying away from the enemy to land in friendly fields and escape Saddamn.

They've been saying this since last night.

That was German he was speaking earlier. That much is for sure.

That news about the bodyguard was put out by the Pentagon (or CIA) last night. The bodyguard has never been seen away from SH's side. They found this very interesting.
I also noted there was no portrait of Saddam behind the podium, but the news analysts didn't comment on that.

"there have been 15 two term presidents. go to google.com and type in two term presidents for starters." Actually, I have been googling the topic for about an hour with no luck. That's why I got desperate and interupted your thread. I will keep looking, thanks.

Is there usually a portrait behind Saddam when he is sitting there at that table in all those videos we've seen released? I can't remember.
