Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

A female media anal-yst is saying that now our Military is saying that this is going to be like a REAL WAR. So I guess this has been just pretend till now.

I've always wondered what's going to happen to those Baghdad journalists once the battle starts inside the capital.

Oh, sorry. I misread your reply. My apologies.
To: Kadric
That's what I meant by "SA." There are several other countries around there that this could be in. The way they have angled the shot makes it very hard to tell the which version it is. If the mainstream press picks this up it will be interesting to see the response. They may not do it because it would show how desperate the Iraqis really are.
To: Green
I'd like to know: Exactly how does a truck with a bomb make it into a US base facility?Remember all those US uniforms Iraq bought right before the shooting started?

They have civilian contractors delivering supplies, etc. I'm sure the trucks are searched for weapons/explosives as they enter the compound, but if the truck itself is the intended weapon, nothing going to stop that.
To: null and void
Well, since I posted that, they are now saying that it might have been a delivery contractor of some kind. If that turns out to be the case, I'd say the security needs to be changed dramatically.

Three words: St. Petersburg Times, aka Cheerleaders for Sami al-Arian.Aha!
That United Way was ever united over Susan will be deeply disturbing to most Americans. Another institution exposed...and w/ no expensive government grant, investigation or court hearing. Strange days.

The Skynews Bagdad reporter was fair at first, but now seems very tilted towards Iraq's propaganda.Perhaps he has a gun in his back.I heard today that two reporters who broadcast something the Bag-boys didn't like were arrested.
To: The Wizard
You tried both?? Mine is up..from both links.

No Problem...
To: sissyjane
ohhhh is the Skynews reporter that DogGone was talking about reporting from Baghdad? If so, then that explains his slant. He has no choice with his little minder there.
