Ah well, we all gotta go sometime...hopefully not sooner than later.

He would rather have that I be killed, than that I have the ability or freedom to be armed. I'm with you on this one. He was a hard line anti-freedom statist, and I won't miss him any more than I would Sara Brady or upChuck Schemer.

I can't say that I am too shaken up. I don't wish death on anyone but I won't miss the Senator. He was instrumental in violating many people's Second Amendment rights. Because of that, I can call him neither honorable or much else good.

The last honorable Democrat. RIPIndeed. The last of the Scoop Jackson wing. A stalwart cold warrior who fought the 70's New Left in the Democrap Party. For all that I can even forgive him for endorsing Hilliary! R.I.P., Pat.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the only reason she got to speak was the mere fact that she's occupying his seat in the senate.

P.S. Somebody email the clintons and tell them not to bring a jumbo-tron to his funeral service...

I does my heart proud to see the differences in class and compassion that charachterize Republicans and Democrats. Democrates talk the talk every day. Only Republicans ever walk the walk. Democrats celebrate the fact that Ronald Regan and Charlton Heston have Alzheimer's. Two hundred fifty responses here to a political opponent's death notice, and the only jerkoffs with bad things to say about the man are a couple of DU cronies posing as FReepers.

but he certainly contributed much to this countryGun control and a staunch refusal to vote to impeach Klinton are two of his biggest contributions.

Excellent point. Can you imagine the outcry from the (so-called) mainstream media if conservatives took potshots at Christopher Reeve (or is it Reeves, I always forget)? If anyone on the right said Christopher got what he deserved when he became paralyzed, he/she would be beaten and flogged. But let George Clooney say it about Charlton Heston and the media look the other way. Pathetic.

I'll say it right now: I've met Christopher Reeve. Nobody deserves to be paralyzed, but the man is a jerk and he takes advatage of his position for political motives.

Indeed, I'd say a large number of DU'ers detested Sen. Moynihan with a passion because he spoke out against killing babies in the birth canal. Pat could be wrong, Pat could be right, but Pat died a man. RIP, Senator Moynihan.
