I always wanted to get the "Don't Tread On Me" flag made in subdued colors.
Kinda like a black field with the snake and letters in ghost grey.
I'd fly one in my front yard. take it camping, and put it on a 'jackstaff' on a canoe when I go down the Delaware River.

Correct, but after time has passed, and the media gets over it's frenzy, all of the story will get ironed out. The media is so frantic, because they know this war will be over really quickly, and they have to get their hits in, today.

Nothing follows Well, duh. If you saw a column of vehicles getting blown to smithereens, would you follow it?

Fox News: "A convoy of Iraqi armor was spotted racing away from Basra at Noon today, followed by fist fights among allied fighter pilots for who got the right to kill all of the easy targets..." Last night, either Fox or MSNBC was interviewing a female fighter pilot who had just returned from bombing at Karbala. She was pretty darn good looking, too, and had the nickname "Thumper." Her plane had been hit by lightning, knocking her threat warning system out, but she kept on with the mission.
That was one tough chick, and I have no doubt she could kick my butt.

Well, I don't know if I should be praying for more sandstorms or not, but if it halts the use of chemicals, maybe that isn't a bad thing.

Yup, a dumb move. The only reason I can think of for them to go south would be to threaten Umm Qasr. (Not that they ever had a chance of getting close enough to it to so much as spot its lights on the horizon...)

It appears the sandstorms gave someone an unrealistic period of optimism, leading to Highway of Death, part II.

I wouldn't know about MSNBC.
I locked that channel out of both of my DirecTV receivers during their transparently pro-Gore coverage of the Florida recount charade, and it won't ever be back on in my house.
CNN is on life support here and will probably suffer the same fate soon.
My house is a FOX News Channel Zone.

Some news outlet should check and see what uniforms the Iraqi troops in those columns were wearing.

How about - rats scurrying from the burning building?
Troops, well armed and well trained, everywhere.
Jets and helicopters overhead 24/7.
Locals finally able and willing to fight.
Sadistic tyrant be damned - we're outta here!

Why did they commit suicide? They could have stayed in Basra and been torn limb from limb by the locals or have been killed one by one by the British SAS. They chose the quick and (relatively) painless road to eternity courtesy of the United States Airforce.

Partido Dos?

The idea of making themselves sitting ducks in a convoy just doesn't compute. There has to be more to it.
