Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Does anyone here know who owns Reuters? The International Workers Party? :-p

Have you seen any indication that we're starting swing back to how things were since W got into office?
To: nwpatriot
I wouldn't be so sure that the RG won't try something during the storms. Washington crossed the Delaware in some pretty bad weather, and the outmanned Texans whipped Santa Anna when his troops were taking a siesta.

Was that not hilarious? Now I want to see more Kurds in the action! Hunt reiterating about the 2-star Marine General who is up there coordinating the troops. I wonder who that could be?That was a classic!...Yes, I wonder who is in charge there, guess that'll teach the Turks to F with us. We are apparently organizing the kurds(arming them). Covering all the bases. gotta love it.

I agree, the disposal brains spout garbage.
But I think Frank's strategy is flawed.
We should have put every prisoner behind barbed wire.
We should have owned every grain of sand south of Samawah and Nasiriyah before we started for Baghdad.

Reuters was floated as a public company in 1984 on the London Stock Exchange and on NASDAQ in the United States. In October 1851 Baron Paul Julius Reuter, a German-born immigrant, opened an office in the City of London which transmitted stock market quotations between London and Paris via the new Calais-Dover cable. Two years earlier he had used pigeons to fly stock prices between Aachen and Brussels

Excuse me, but please refrain from personal attacks. This is a simple request by the site management. Thank you.

Thanks, Howl! I've always tried to mind my P's and Q's, you know being a newbie and all! I would not just log on out of the blue and start dismissing people just cuz I don't like their name, or cuz their new, or cuz I don't have kids, and so on, and so on....

Reuters is reporting that the US believes Russians are IN Iraq training Iraqis how to use those nifty toys they sold them and I was wondering which side the propaganda is coming from......
I hadn't heard the 'in Iraq' part anywhere else.

We are getting the swagger back, but I just finished training my unit on Law Of Armed Conflict last month. Same old stuff, be nice to the enemy. Make sure that the person you are fighting is a combatant, make sure you help anyone who is injured, treat prisoners with respect, blah blah blah

By the way, I may be new, but that does't make me ignorant or rude. ;0)
No you are not ignorant and definately not rude Jackie-O, and maybe some people should take their own advice.

How's this?
To: muslims=borg
ABC News is an anti-American propaganda tool! They have had 4 pieces in a row that have had a defeatist and contrarian viewpoint, including a piece that was straight up Islamic propaganda. The entire line of questioning of Peter Jennings is coming from a negative point of view ... he should be working for the CBC.
