Terrorist cells are not dependent on the head, and are perfectly capable of carrying on their evil plans regardless of what is transpiring. Scorch the earth.

Then, where is he if he was a victim? I think it would be quite obvious if someone was dragging a soldier around a camp, don't you? You lure the guard into an area where you won't be seen and then cover him up with a tarp or ammo crates.

Not much update yet on my local paper. I might need to hit refresh or reboot

Bret Baier can't confirm from the Pentagon whether the story about the missing soldier is true or not (beyond the injuries previously reported)...
To: brigette
How do you suppose he was taken hostage from within a camp and no one noticed.
To: Endeavor
yeah. iraqi report it destroyed 16 of our tanks. a dr. bob arnot special, sounds like to me, and to bret baer as well.

Well, I believe in innocent til proven guilty. I would rather think he/she had no part in this until proven otherwise. Humor me, ok?:')

yep, that was the story Smith held back and a good thing too, since it isn't true.

I guess anything is possible. Right now, the facts and logic point to a soldier going crazy (or being an Islamonut) and doing it. I guess we will know soon.

...How do you suppose...
Been there and done that, not a big deal. Tom
To: Endeavor
Bret Baier saying the Pentagon has nothing on the search for soldier.
To: CindyDawg
Did you give the two translators the same benefit of the doubt (innocent til proven guilty)?
To: spectr17
they could have stuffed him in the latrine...a trunk ..all kinds of possibilities. But I am hearing conflicting reports . SOme say they cleared the two people they captured and other reports say those two were responsible.
To: Endeavor
He's learning, (S Smith), isn't he? lol
To: RummyChick
The latest report I heard (Sky News reporter on the scene) siad that they had been accounted for.

A k-bar or head wrag to strangle him, then bury him in the sand?

How the hell could it have happened in the first place? - We don't know enough, yet!, just because he is missing does not prove that he is part of it yet.
To: ItisaReligionofPeace
It's my guess that he was taken/harmed before the grenades went off. I have no idea why it wasn't noticed except that the guy taken was a guard.

Our guys are red, white, and blue. If the soldier is missing, I believe he has been taken. His fellow soldiers are busy looking for him right now. No one wants to leave a buddy on foreign soil. We will rescue him and find the 'evildoer' who is responsible for this heinous act.
