THE ONLY THING FRENCH ABOUT FRENCH’S® MUSTARD IS THE NAME!

ROBERT T. FRENCH’S ALL AMERICAN DREAM LIVES ON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Recently there has been some confusion as to the origin of French’s mustard. For the record, French’s would like to say, there is nothing more American than French’s mustard.

Born in New York by the R. T. French company, French’s Cream Salad Mustard made it’s debut in 1904 at the St. Louis World’s Fair along with it’s side kick, the hot dog. Both were an instant success! By 1915 the French’s pennant became the brand’s official logo, symbolizing French’s affiliation with baseball and American celebration.

I thought this important public service announcement should be brought to the attention of all FReepers.

Sucks to be French now, huh?

The same people make Frank’s® RedHot® sauce.

You can't get more American than that.

Do you realize how stupid this French demonization will look to future historians and our grand kids. This will be worse that the Salem witch trials.

Shame on Freedom fries!

According to my buddy department: "french" as in "french fries" has nothing to do with Sodom-on-the-Seine, but with some obscure English verb (though very likely of French origin) having to do with cutting food in a certain way and cooking it in a certain way. Don't know, though. Said friend was drunk at time and repeated said wisdom to someone also in his cups.

Anybody Remember Simpson's classic where all the boys are playing Poker at Homer's place and somebody asks Homer where the beer is and Homer says "It's in the Garage" and Moe the Bartender says something like "Mr Fancy Dancy Frenchie. 'Garage', speak English, say "CarHold"". Me neither.

The French have chosen to side with terrorist dictator Saddam Hussein. In the past, they refused to allow our aircraft to use French airspace in the 1980's, when President Reagan ordered airstrikes against Libya (which were motivated by evidence of Libya's state sponsorship of terrorism, which included the downing of Pan Am 103, over Locherbe.)

France is neither an ally or friend of the United States. They are a nation of effeminate cowards, deserving of all the scorn and ridicule that can be heaped upon them.

And the only thing German about "German's Chocolate" is the name...of the American guy who created that flavor! His last name was "G-e-r-m-a-n". Note the registrated trade mark by the name? Note that it's "German's Chocolate" not "German Chocolate"?

So go and eat with a clear conscience!

Actually, I wondered about French's mustard, which really is the most American version of the stuff. I'll give them a pass in my Boycott France campaign, but wish they'd change the name to something less obnoxious.

Whatever you think of their bravery, in this situation, they did their best to stop a pointless war. The demonization campaign is resulting in all this idiocy of worrying about French's mustard, French dressing and some idiot shot up a French dry cleaners store. That will look really stupid to future folks. I am sure you will be real embarrassed explaining this to your grand children, unless you decide to lie to them.

I see. You're one of those who believes we should stand idly by, while Hussein develops nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.

I think someone is playing a cruel trick on you. They've hacked into your account and put in a tagline that you obviously don't agree with.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if they took this opportunity to change the brand name. People who don't even like mustard would probably buy it.

All of the European leaders expressed condolences to Tony Blair for the loss of his troops in the heli crash. All, that is, except one. Can you guess which one that was?
