Here I am, on pins and needles, candles lit and prayers a constant to bring our troops home safely after liberating the oppressed Iraqis and I find myself channel surfing to see what program has the least bottom scroll and best reporting. Having just switched from Foxnews, where the official comment was so far the war is going well, very well, as our forces move into Iraq, soften Baghdad for the big blitz (Shock and Awe). But then I move to WABC, and Peter Jennings is so-o-o- bummed-out and depressed I just cant watch much and switch next to CNN, where that brow-knitted, pinch-faced Judy Woodruff is asking a reporter on the scene if the White House now considers this first strike a dismal failure. What? Dismal failure rings so loudly in my head, the utter contempt with which it was said by the propagandist Woodruff that I cant really get out a good laugh when the reply comes back, well, er, no.
The network stations are reporting the liberation as though we were bringing the full force and might of the arrogant and bullying sole Superpower (as though we should be sharing that title with, say, France and the UN) on the ladies aid society, Baghdad annex. Invasion! They mewl. Tsk, tsk and tut, tut, tut. Their upset at actually having something in this administration start out so well must only be poisoned by the fact that that which they have been trumpeting, the Shock and Awe we have heard so much about, didnt happen immediately! Not only are the liberal, propaganda media not known for their accuracy, but their patience takes a very close second.

I've pretty much stayed away from the other networks.

Well ... thank you for this! You have just confirmed to me that the newest DNC talking points are "dismal failure" "saddened" and of course the must used "concerned".
These people are so transparent and pathetic.
These WORDS are coming from Hillary Clinton and Terry McAwliffe. And ... this is why the DNC sent an email to it's members asking them to support Daschle's statements.
Daschle is a mouthpiece for Hitlery - this allows her to appear to be moderate and above the fray! However, those of us here at FR know the truth and the truth is getting out.

I found Fox and MSNBC / NBC the best ...
channel surf mainly to see the different videos you get.
Fox had the best videos of the surrendering Iraqis.
Wish there was more.
CNN runner up mainly because of Rodgers w/ the 3 ID, other than their embedded reporters, CNN is worse than useless
CBS was gawdaful and so was/is NPR on the radio. They had a 'sojourners' commentator s(anti-war liberal plug) and a 'voices in the wilderness' person (pro-saddam plug). Gag me. Yet they cant find a retired colonel to cogitate like the other channels?
Meanwhile the Canadian outlet CBC had a commentator accuse American media of 'cheerleading' because some media types were saying "we" were going into Iraq. So, it's not just Peter Jennings disassociating himself from American action, eh?

Aaron Brown is a self-absorbed whiner.
The MSNBC guy is better, although to me he sounds like a game show host. I am impressed that he seems to be going 24/7 on this, while the other channels go tag-team.

"...After the Iraqi hung up, Jennings weaseled out by saying that he presented the propagandist as an example of an Iraqi who will not welcome us into Baghdad. When is Jennings going to be deported? Or better yet, strapped to a bomb and dropped on Baghdad."The b@stard is my enemy, your enemy, the enemy of America, AND the enemy of the righteous.
Quite simply, Peter Jennings should be arrested and never heard from again.

Jennings is a poisonous snake who should be defanged. He is being well protected by his fellow-travelers in the Lefty media. Unfortunately, he is kept on the air by the Sheeple who watch him, night after night.

Let Jennings, and others like him, blather away. They can always be countered.
