I don't know if it's a good idea but maybe we could avoid their military installations up to Baghdad and concentrate on taking Baghdad. Then perhaps the rest of them will just lay down their weapons and celebrate.

Yes, the cbs web-cam switches cameras every few minutes. First there were several explosions (Bagdad cam) that sounded distant, then the sounds of emergency vehicles and the reflections of flames on a concrete pillar.

Next view (still Bagdad) large explosion, shaking camera, then suddenly switched to a mid-east t.v. station showing burning horizen.

It was in a column by Deborah Orin of the New York Post that first used the term "war slut", I believe.

Bingo. Last night(our time) the Fox reporter embedded in the 3rd noted that they had been advancing for 21 hours straight. Another reporter noted that he understood one of his commanders had gone 60 hours without sleep(I have some question about that validity). Am wondering how long units can continuously advance before getting some rest.

The booms we're waiting for haven't gone off yet....but I did make a fresh pot of coffee and warmed up some raisin scones.

They started around Noon (Central time) yesterday. So it may be another hour or so.
