Maybe you'd like to run for POTUS and propose building a 50 foot barbed-wire steel wall around America. You know what the problem is with that? It wouldn't just keep people out but it would lock people in. Think about that for a minute.

You know, there's a time and place for everything. This is neither the time nor the place.

Don't overreact yet.
These terrorists might be in Mexico, and Mexico might act as buffer to our judicial system with so many rights for terrorists.
If captured in Mexico, they can be interrogated using "unorthodox" methods.

You are absolutely right. Defending the borders begins with Bush, and ends with him. After 9/11, he had the political cover to take a stand and finally secure our borders -- but he looked the other way as he put Fox's interests, big business's, and those of the "illegal alien voting lobby" all ahead of the law-abiding American taxpayers he has sworn to protect and defend. That is why many of us will never vote for him again.

THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH! The blood of whoever dies thank to yo leaving th borders wide open and negotiable will be on your hands. How open minded of you. Don't blame the perpetrator, blame the victim. You disgust me.

I have concerns about the border too but I'm not going to second guess the president right now. He's doing ok, so far:'). Most of the bad guys probably already here before his watch anyway, setting up shop. CD

Don't back down to the flamers on this. You are 110% correct. We control border's all over this f'ing planet, except our own. Waging war without defending yourself is ludicrous beyond belief! Blackbird.

oh geeze...idiot.

And BTW, I recall Freepers who WORK for security agencies saying that the border patrol has done a LOT in rounding up folks.
Just because you seem to think the only solution is a wall does not mean that people within the govt....people who have brains with the capacity to think post-middle ages style unlike you, are not thinking of other ways to increase security.

And of course to those of you who seem to take shots at everybody, for everything, make it so, so simple.
Talk is cheap.
