Babelfish manglingYes ---why I don't bother posting those "translations", you can learn Spanish in less time than it takes to fumble through those. "rakes" would mean "combs" obviously ---City Delights would be the ciudad Delicias ---just south of El Paso about 5 hours. I guess the rest is somewhat clear.

That would have been pre pulp. I do remember reading and article on how terrorist might try to combine
small pox and ebola. Doesn't sound like much fun.

By no means do you ignore the possibility of infection.
What you do about it is up to you.
The fatal options I suggested would be both inhumane to the boy and probably too late if you wait for symptoms to be evident.
What I was suggesting was sarcasm, although in rather poor taste.
My apologies for not labeling it as such.

oh geeze...idiot.

Thanks again. I read the first two links. I knew some of the things posted by Cascadiens. She normally posts on Timebomb 2000, a forum somewhat devoted to things like this (and other stuff).

They only stop little old ladies who "smuggle" in some antibiotics or blood pressure medication, or some Retin A cream for wrinkles. Same principle of shaking down little old ladies at airports, in search of potential terrorists.
I am not kidding. I have seen it. (at the border of So. Ca & Mexico border crossing.

I suggest you look at 18 United States Code 1324....

Clinton wasn't and hasn't been in office on 9-11. Bush was. Clinton should be in jail for any number of reasons with the borders being one of them. Regardless Clinton's dereliction isn't the issue; Bush's is which is compunded by his lack of actions since 9-11 and his attempting to get a deal with Fox about it over the UN fiasco. Might I ask what Bush has done to STRENGTHEN our borders?? I'm really looking forward to hearing that.

What is really strange is the border wait times have been quicker since the war began than they've ever been. 30 minutes was the last I'd seen when traditionally 2 hours is common ---and that's not counting Anapra where you can easily get over (not legally) in just minutes.

If so, please explain why the first time I have heard of this is right now on FR?
Also, kindly explain why I only saw the news mention 2 times yesterday the hunt for the Iraqi?
It seems to me the media is ignoring this, not hyping it.

IRAQI MUSTARD GAS--IRAQI FORCES HAD AN EXTREMELY POTENT GAS CALLED "KHARDAL" IN ARABIC. (FLDCMT--KHARDAL TRANSLATES IN ENGLISH AS MUSTARD.) THE GAS WAS ORIGINALLY MANUFACTURED IN THE SOVIET UNION BUT IS NOW MADE IN SAMARAH, IZ //3412N04352E//.
SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE INCLUDE BLEEDING FROM THE EYES, EARS, AND NOSE TWO MINUTES AFTER EXPOSURE.FAS
Sorry 'bout the caps, it was that way on the website.

"No but small pox does."

That was my guess too.

I don't think anthrax requires temperature control. Obviously, you could destroy anthrax spores in a fire, but temperature control usually means not letting something get hot in the sunshine.
I would guess temperature control implies some volatile liquid that would vaporize if it got warm.

Doea anyone know what this could be?
Report said the "substance" or material may require temperature control and that could indicate radiational or biological material

You bet he's right. It's the truth, our borders are a disgrace, and a national security disaster...And this news is no surprise.
I just hope to God, they are either stopped or do not succeed. For all we know, these people could have all separated to all points by now. Who knows what they may be packing.....

Wait time at bridges cut in half
Wait times at El Paso's international bridges remained short Thursday even as the war progressed in Iraq. Waits in rush-hour lines fell from two hours earlier this week to about one hour.
At 1 p.m. Thursday, the wait at the Bridge of the Americas was 33 minutes, with eight of 10 lanes open. At the Paso del Norte Bridge, the wait was 30 minutes, with seven of nine lanes open. The Zaragoza Bridge had no delay at that hour.
"There's no lines, I mean, I breeze right through," said a delighted Cynthia Bernal, who continues to come to El Paso to visit her grandmother.

Ask your friends their opinion of the US or our war on terror or Iraq. Better yet, ask them if we deserved 9/11. They are behind the US 100%
As a matter of fact, one of my Mexican friends stopped by house on his way to Orlando two months ago, and he was concerned about terrorism in Florida. I told him we cannot let terrorist win, and we should continue to live our normal lives.
Apparently, you have your own agenda, so you will never be convinced.
To: KantianBurke
And BTW, I recall Freepers who WORK for security agencies saying that the border patrol has done a LOT in rounding up folks.
Just because you seem to think the only solution is a wall does not mean that people within the govt....people who have brains with the capacity to think post-middle ages style unlike you, are not thinking of other ways to increase security.
To: george wythe
My own agenda? HA! Have you missed the world the past week where Presidente Fox has refused to support the war in Iraq? Where ~70% of Mexicans are opposed to the US in Iraq? Where have YOU been and what is YOUR agenda besides head in the sand?
To: hot august night
"That is why many of us will never vote for him again."
----
Terrific. Let's cut off our nose to spite our face. I suppose you will vote for Gore in 2004, if he runs, maybe Hillary, or perhaps you want to vote for Daschle? Maybe you could persuade them to run.
