Probably afraid of retribution from Saddam's troops, as happened after the Gulf War. These folks don't have access to the news media like we do, so they don't know the scope of our mission.

- apparently many Iraqis did that prematurely during the Gulf War and were subsequently killed by Saddam's troops. I can see where trust would be a hard thing for them.

You're right .. I think once they know Saddam is gone for good and can't hurt them any longer .. we will be seeing tears of joy from majority of the Iraqi people

ALERT!

Baghdad flattened by new weapon.

Too large for a C-130 and much larger than the MOAB, the new bomb had to be dropped from a C-5A at high altitude.
Film director Michael Moore was dropped on Baghdad this morning. The city was flattened and now has a huge crater in the city center. The rest of the city was wiped out by what scientist theorize was the shockwave from an instantaneous release of the laregest concentration of stupidity in the known universe. This would make Mr. Moore, author of the biography "Stupid White Man" the largest non nuclear device in history. The international community has protested our use of this weapon, but as usual who cares what they think. Plans call for a smaller realease of a concentrated annoyance weapon. A drop of Barbara Streisand on Basra in being considered.
