I'm going to try to make this pretty short. You can either agree or disagree with my statements. The protestors are really getting under my skin. Especially now that we are in a major conflict. To me, the protestors are a sign of weakness in the world in which we are finding ourselves in. Weakness leads to the loss of power, or the loss of control. Countries around the world are seeing the protesting going on and to me, they are seeing weakness. When someone like Saddam or any of his regime see protests going on they are filled with happiness because they see weakness. They see that there are factions in this country with no backbone. This I believe is a bad message that is being sent out.

We know that the passengers in the two planes that hit the world trade center probably didn't know the outcome of their flight. If they did I do not believe that they would have just sat there and sang "Let's all give peace a chance." I do not believe that they all sang "Coom By Ya."

Yet the passengers in the plane that crashed in Pennsylvinia DID KNOW! They didn't sing "Let's give peace a chance" or "Coom by Ya" either. They stated "Let's Roll." By sacrificing their lives they possibly saved the lives of hundreds maybe thousands. Today, tonight, and maybe weeks to come troops from the United States and Great Britain are stating "Let's Roll." They are fighting for the rights of freedom for us and the protestors. Doing their jobs to help secure the lives of all those that are back in the States and the lives of those in Britain.

You may not believe in what we're doing. You maybe one of the protestors. If you are, please think about what you are doing. There are men and women who are putting their lives on the line to give you the freedoms that you enjoy. Show a little backbone to those who are wanting more than anything to divide a country that right now needs to be UNITED more than ever.

Bulldozers. Or maybe Bridges. They don't seem to cope too well with those...

I have to admit, peace protesters make me madder even than Muslim terrorists. I expect better from Americans, I expect better from people who didn't grow up being brainwashed in mosques. I should just take a deep breath and remember that our public schools are nearly as bad as Saudi mosques.

I'm hearing that on sunday, (pro-Saddam) protestors will be at the Boeing missle production plant (used to be McDonnell-Douglas) in St. Charles Mo. The police have been told to show up in full riot gear.
I am willing to give the police alot of leeway in how they handle the protestors if trouble breaks out.

Too true. Actually, it's even worse: a combination of Saudi mosques and a bit of old Moscow, all of it mixed with a liberal splash of Kinsey. Self-contradictory and irrational, yes, but when has that ever bothered the left?

I know how mad you are.I walked by Times Square tonight in the middle of these idiots. I kept my cool, and wentupto 2 separate groups of NYPD and asked them " do you know where the Pro-America rally is?"

both groups smiled and said the exact samething, "RIGHT HERE", meaning where they were standing with me.

It felt good.

As I went into the subway some militant union type african american thigs were chanting SHUT it DOWN and JOBS NO WAR. I screamed back "its not too late to go to Baghdad to be a human shield" and left. People gave me looks but plenty the majority were just trying to get home, although I could tell they were annoyed with the protesters.

Bothered them? I think they take pride in it! They call it "nuanced" and "ambiguous" and consider their ability to "deal with ambiguity" (read: revel in self-indulgent irrationality) a mark of their intellectual sophistication.

First, I've put my most recent rant about the current events into It Didn't Start Last Night. Those who are tired of reading it on here can follow the link.

Your other comments take me back to an older rant that I often make. I find no fault with the people in the planes. They were under horrible circumstances and did what they have been conditioned to believe is right. They first dealt with the situation by trying to sit quietly and call for "proper authorities" to handled the situation. It takes courage to do what one has been taught is right in that situation. Once they learned the real situation, the passengers on Flight 93 fought the terrorists and denied them the plane.

My problem is with a society that has conditioned people to be passive. Procedure at that time called for pilots to handle hijackers by opening the cockpit and trying to establish a "rapport." I think this policy was stupid when it was established in the 70's, but it was inexcusable after two decades of suicide attacks by Muslim terrorists. Unfortunately, it is part of this conditioning. If the passengers had reacted to the first act of aggression by the terrorists by counter-attacking, the terrorists wouldn't have gained control of any planes. If the passengers had reacted with force, no one would have died on the ground. Maybe the first flight attendants attacked would have died or maybe a few passengers would have been killed by the terrorists. However, the death toll that day would have likely been less than ten people (not counting the terrorists killed).

My problem with many of the protestors is not just that they are supporting anti-Americanism. Pacifism is a death trip, and I hate it that they are trying to promote death to others.

Not me, no sirree bob. We don't shoot protestors in America no matter how obnoxious they get. And if those police officers DO open fire on rock-throwing protestors, I intend to send them a strongly-worded letter informing them that I have a stern 3 Strikes and Out policy, and if they do it 2 more times, I will urge the Mayor to levy a $25 fine against them.

As my sainted mother likes to point out: the protesters calmed down quite a bit after Kent State.

Just a bit before my time, but I know what happened. It sure did calm them down, didn't it?

Happened just right down the road from the crib, too.

Is that $25 per round fired, $25 per protestor killed/wounded, or just a $25 fine for the entire department?

Because if it's just $25 for the entire department (and then the strke count zeros out), then I'd be happy to send in $25 so they can get to work.
