TROOP PRAYER THREAD

Over the last several days we have been seeking to compile a list of troops for whom we may pray. Now that formal hositilities have formally resumed with Iraq, we feel it appropriate to start a new troop prayer thread.

We have many fine young men and women known to us here at FreeRepublic.com serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, Airforce and Coast Guard. Several on our troop list to date actually are registered in the forum, and have become known to us personally among the constellation of Freepers.

We invite everyone, active Freepers and Lurkers alike to join our circle in prayer for these fine men and women who have volunteered to place their lives on the line for the defense of our nation and for the liberation of the oppressed peoples of other nations. To them we send our greatest respect and gratitude. We send them our prayers and good thoughts. We ask for God's blessing upon them and their families.

For those of us who have somewhat limited computer capacity, we request that graphics be limited to pictures of loved ones for whom we are offering prayers. Thank you.

Bless all these fine people that are protecting America. I have a close friend that just went into the army. She is in her early twenties. I am so proud of her. She is fantastic. Knows just wants she wants in life, so rare for so young. Please pray for Barbara.

Yes, thankfully there were fewer killed in the chopper than first reported. I've been watching it all. It disturbs me to see the terrible "peace riots" in the other countries, and our own. I wish they would stay home and watch what transpires on the T.V.

Watch us bomb only military and administrative sites, watch how well we treat those who surrender, watch the people smiling and dancing when the troops take over each town!! I pray God will 'open' their eyes and their minds.

A few interesting things I heard today;
{1.}Intelligence said that a member of the P.L.F. [Palestinian Liberation Force], WAS in the bunker with Iraqi officials, when it was bombed! This supports the Iraq - Terrorist connection!
{2.} Iraq fired 'BANNED' weapons today.
{3.}Kofi Annan seeks to have the U.N. take over running the Iraqi oil for food program. The word should be "resume", because they were doing it before and I'm sure this is why they were against the war!!
