TROOP PRAYER THREAD

Over the last several days we have been seeking to compile a list of troops for whom we may pray. Now that formal hositilities have formally resumed with Iraq, we feel it appropriate to start a new troop prayer thread.

We have many fine young men and women known to us here at FreeRepublic.com serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, Airforce and Coast Guard. Several on our troop list to date actually are registered in the forum, and have become known to us personally among the constellation of Freepers.

We invite everyone, active Freepers and Lurkers alike to join our circle in prayer for these fine men and women who have volunteered to place their lives on the line for the defense of our nation and for the liberation of the oppressed peoples of other nations. To them we send our greatest respect and gratitude. We send them our prayers and good thoughts. We ask for God's blessing upon them and their families.

For those of us who have somewhat limited computer capacity, we request that graphics be limited to pictures of loved ones for whom we are offering prayers. Thank you.

Thank you for coming by, Mihalis. In my opinion, you are totally with them. I realize you mean you want to be with them while you are wearing your body, but let me be bold to suggest that perhaps your walk with them right now is in spirit and could be more important than if you were there in your body. As we see the photos and the events unfolding we can truly project our hearts to be with them. Our Father does work in mysterious ways. Having thousands, if not millions of prayer warriors will make the difference in this war, imho. We are grateful for your prayers, Mihalis, as well as for your desire and willingness to place your own body at risk for this nation. Thank you.

CNN is reporting that a marine has fallen. "Mechanism of death not confirmed, thought to be gunfire."

Father in heaven, bless this precious soldier. We pray for all our fine young people in combat. Father, take command of this entire campaign. Overshadow each and every person involved, on both sides. Let events unfold ONLY according to thy will. Amen

CNN has confirmed that today is "A" day. The day of aerial bombardment. New weapon technology is expected to be used. Two casualties and an injury have been reported this day.

Prayer warriors being called to duty if you are able! Please, whether you post here or not, say another prayer right now. God bless you.

Dear God, be with with our Troops and our British Troops. May God guide you all and protect you. We thank our military for their serice and for their families left behind. May God protect our country and protect us all from the Evil that lurks in our world.

Thank you for blessing us and giving us your Hand and Arm of love and compassion. It is in your precious name we pray. Protect the innocent people who are in Iraq. We hope that the surrender will come quick and fast and that all of the military will be protected.

In your precious name we pray and ask these things in Your Name. Amen.

Prayers up for your nephew Sgt. Charles Mapa, Jr. USAF in his duties as C-17 Crew chief.

Father, we pray that you will surround Charles and all of his crew. Surround all our pilots and airmen. Surround all of our precious troops. Father we ask that you will keep them safe and overshadow all of their actions. Keep them clear and focused. Send your angels to all of them this day. Father, we ask that you will clear the way before Charles and all of our troops as they commence the air war which we have been expecting. Go before these troops and let this war be a miracle of a war fought with a minimum of loss of life on both sides. Let this be done only according to thy will. Amen

Just now catching up and reading your post 148. As events have unfolded, I'm certain you are already aware that by God's grace, there were fewer casualties in the helicopter crash than was initially reported.

The run across the desert was exhilerating. It appears the guys are now running into some resistance. The air war has started.

GOD HELP US. GOD HELP OUR TROOPS. GOD WE PRAISE YOU AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN CHARGE. Amen

Prayers up for your precious J.B. and B.G. God bless them and guard them. Father, hold them close and intercede in this conflict. Clear the way and let the war of liberation be victorious quickly. Guide our leaders and each individual soldier. For those in the Iraqi army who are not totally aligned with Saddam, let them be cut free of fear and reassured as to the correctness and no loss of honor to lay down arms. Amen
