Turkish president criticises US Iraq action
ANKARA, March 20 (Reuters) - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer on Thursday questioned the legitimacy of what he called unilateral U.S. action against Iraq.
"The United Nations Security Council process on Iraq should have been allowed to finish. I do not find it right that the U.S. behaved unilaterally before that process ended," Sezer told reporters in Ankara.
His comments added weight to the parliamentary opposition ahead of a vote later in the day on a resolution to allow U.S. warplanes to use Turkish airspace for Iraq attacks.

Perhaps the force in the Mediterrianian is still there to kick the stuffing out of Turkey if needed. I never trusted that new Islamafacist leaning government. Islamafacism has flourished in the past 10 years due to Clinton's pathetic leadership.

The "unilateral" crack shows that the NYT got its leftist talking points memo well-distributed. Stupid, stupid people to listen to the "nattering nabobs" instead of our President.

Perhaps it was Turkey that the failed former president carter was working with behind the scenes. Smells just like a carter op!

NO PROBLEM. You didn't help us. Your economy sucks. We'll close our bases and increase tariffs by 30% on all your goods coming into the U.S. Perhaps then you can make up for the loss (hahahahah) by selling more to the frogs.

So far all I know of any consequence is that the Pantagon notified the Turkish General Staff, but that the politicians found out what was going on from news on TV.
