She was with a British unit. They were suited up properly. In her report, she went into detail about how the suits are worn and how they function. It was simply absurd that she would be making such a report while wearing a mask and a T-shirt. Had the shells that exploded nearby contained chemical or bio weapons, she'd have long since curled up her toes on the sand. I'm not mocking her; it's just not easy to sit back and watch someone who should know better having a "Hold muh beer" moment on live TV.

Saddam wants the US to pull out the nukes to destroy public support for war. Saddam could care less about his own image, just about relatively making US' uglier... still, I think we should use a few nukes if chem attacks taking place... what are the French canaries going to do now, will they still help if we use nukes? Can't count on them, yet they want people to plan things around them.

My son was in Desert Storm with c/1/6 and you wouldn't believe some of the stupid stuff the 'experts' at work talked about before the shooting started. Iraqi army this iraqi army that. I just laughed at the a$$holes and told them the Iraqi army didn't ever face off with U.S. forces.
But I never believed they spoke from an empty soul like you just did.

Your friend in the Canadian military is dead wrong. In our military, especially in this conflict, the troops will be riding in armored vehicles once they cross the lines. These vehicles are overpressured so that no chemicals can get in. Chem suits aren't even worn initially - only just before the infantry dismounts. After all, if the hull is breached on an armored vehicle, the last thing you're worried about is chemicals. The vacuum behind the penetrating round and its' blast are far more deadly.
If indeed Saddam uses chemicals, look for bunker penetrating nukes to be used for the first time in combat. That way we are certain to get him, and the residual radiation won't be nearly as severe.

Are you looking at Fox? They should have left Ollie North at home, he is a little too old for this. He is not in shape.
