Prayer for Those Who Serve

Lord Jesus, Savior of the World and Prince of Peace, watch over our loved ones as they serve their country. Protect them from the physical and moral dangers of military life. Keep them close to You and help them live in such a manner that is pleasing to You. Lord Jesus, give them courage to serve their country with honor and dignity. Be with them when they are in danger, strengthen them when they face hardships. Above all Lord, grant that when their service is finished they may return to us, sound in mind, body and soul. And Lord, for those who give the ultimate sacrifice with their lives for serving our country, please touch and minister grace and healing to their families. Amen

There is so much ordnance deployed over there, and it is going to be used in such a short period of time, that I am really, really, REALLY afraid that we will see far more casualties from friendly fire than we will from anything the goat-rapers can throw at us.

As this nation, which you have so greatly blessed, once again sets out to free your oppressed children, we ask for your guidance. We praise and thank you for granting us the leadership of a man who will act according to your will. Give him the strength and wisdom in the difficult decisions he will be compelled to make in the following days. Be a shield for our homeland in the days that follow. Forgive us the stain of our national sins, and know that you dwell in the hearts of many Americans who gladly suffer the indignities cast upon them by those who have turned away from you.
