RALLY FOR AMERICA ~ San Jose/Santa Clara CA ~ 23 March 2003

All Freepers and lurkers in good standing are invited to join us in San Jose/Santa Clara for a rally to support America and its troops in the fight against Saddam Hussein and support the war on terrorism.

WHEN: Sunday, March 23, 2003
TIME: 12 noon to 2pm
WHERE: Corner of Winchester and Stevens Creek Blvds.
       San Jose/Santa Clara
       near Valley Fair Mall

There was a rally last Sunday with about 20 in attendance. We can add to those numbers! The people who planned it have already announced on local radio station KSFO this next rally. The wheels are already in motion, just waiting for y'all to show.

Brings your flags, your signs, your energy, and your patriotism and help support your fellow Americans.

I'll be marching on Sunday in San Diego - at MCAS Miramar (Top Gun) Marine Airbase.

Just got back from a pro-America/troops rally in San Jose. Found out about this on the California boards, thank goodness. We had about 75 there at our peak, probably over 100 during the event. There were appeaseniks on the other side of the park. They were eventually escorted back to their permitted area a few streets down.

I got the word out about Sunday's rally. We should have a good showing!

For the out-of-towners...directions to the rally

FROM I-880...take it south to the Stevens Creek exit and just a few blocks west is Winchester

FROM HWY 17...take it north to the Stevens Creek/San Carlos exit and loop to Stevens Creek, go west a few blocks to Winchester

FROM I-280 southbound exit Winchester, stay in the left lane and you'll turn left on first Moorpark, then Winchester. A few blocks later is Stevens Creek.

FROM I-680 southbound take it all the way to I-280 northbound, exit at I-880 North towards Oakland and use the Stevens Creek exit, and a few blocks west is Winchester.

FROM U.S. 101 peninsula side, hit I-880 South and follow those directions.
FROM U.S. 101 Morgan Hill side, hit I-280 North and follow those directions.

Hubby and I will be there provided the babysitter comes through. It's sad that I'm scared to bring my kids to a "Support America" gathering for fear of them being hurt by a Liberal Wacko!

We will be armed with our flags, signs and my big mouth (if needed). Will also try to remember the digital camera. We are looking forward to meeting you all.
