The tyrant will soon be gone. With those words, President Bush left no doubt with Saddam Hussein or with the world that the years of a brutal dictatorship in Iraq will soon be over. In an address to the American people, and to the Iraqi people, Bush reiterated the many steps for diplomacy and peace that the United States and her allies have followed in the past 12 years- to no avail. The President told the Iraqis that their liberation is near and warned any Iraqi soldiers to think twice before releasing chemical or biological weapons. Bush also issued warnings to any terrorists that, 'If our enemies dare to strike us, they and all who have aided them, will face fearful consequences.' Earlier in the day, Bush met with congressional leaders and outlined tonights speech, and ultimately prepared them for military conflict. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I know I will.

It is a burden he carries like no other. But as he said in the speech, we must have to will to do what is right. Or something to that effect. I loved the subtle slams against France and the UN.
I've said this many times but if all the agony of the past months means that the world has come to see what a worthless organization the UN is, then it will all be worth it. All good things in all good time.

Tom Daschle and those who pull the strings of that DNC puppet are leading the democratic party down the tubes. If they keep this up, the 04 elections will reduce their chances of regaining any chance of becoming the majority for 20 years. I say let them go, let the failing leftist media keep repeating their talking points as the DNC and the leftist media go down in flames

I've heard that about Bayh before. Must be careful to watch what he does, not just what he says. In any event, he sounded good tonight.

I loved it when Bill told Bayh to tell Tom Daschle to shut up. Can you tell this curious Hoosier how Bayh reacted?

The next 48 hours need to be bathed in prayer. This is the time to pray w/o ceasing for protection for our troops. Our 16 year old daughter just got off the phone with a bunch of friends asking them to fast and pray with her tomorrow for her brother, and for the war.
The youth have a prayer breakfast every Tuesday morning at 6:00, and they will be praying in earnest tomorrow.

Just try me, Saddam! I bet the girls have seen that look. Maybe they should place a call to Saddam. "Saddam, we've seen THE LOOK. Trust us- you want nothing to do with it!"

Thanks Kayak for posting. WIsh I'd thought to do the same.
Maybe we could all ping him to pictures of the "support our troops" rallies in our own areas. Ask him to share with his fellow sailors.

But did you notice how he sidestepped supporting our President. He said he supports our troops...said nothing about President Bush (that I heard anyway...).

I wake at 6am pacific time...I'll be praying for Eric and all our military then. Bless your heart, ohio.

LOL! Say, what's the meaning of the tag line. I know what Grand Ennui means so I'm really curious.

Fantastic speech, fantastic man, fantastic leader! I have never been more proud of our President.
Our W will go down in history as a hero of his times.
God Bless this man, and our military, and the USA!
To: Wphile
He always sounds good. No one follows up to see what he does. So he gets reelected. Time to start "Bye Bye Bayh" campaign.

That's true but I thought he said that President Bush had done everything right and tried to work through the UN but that it was obvious that France was never going to agree with the United States. He was very supportive of the President but in the end of the conversation, Bill was asking him about other democrats and that's when he slipped into the "support our troops" line. He was referring to Pelosi, Daschle, et al. Ha! The leadership. What a sorry state of affairs it is for the dems when pelosi and daschle represent the "leadership." No wonder they are sinking like a lead balloon.
