A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 3/17/03

The tyrant will soon be gone. With those words, President Bush left no doubt with Saddam Hussein or with the world that the years of a brutal dictatorship in Iraq will soon be over. In an address to the American people, and to the Iraqi people, Bush reiterated the many steps for diplomacy and peace that the United States and her allies have followed in the past 12 years- to no avail. The President told the Iraqis that their liberation is near and warned any Iraqi soldiers to think twice before releasing chemical or biological weapons. Bush also issued warnings to any terrorists that, 'If our enemies dare to strike us, they and all who have aided them, will face fearful consequences.' Earlier in the day, Bush met with congressional leaders and outlined tonights speech, and ultimately prepared them for military conflict. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I know I will.

**Our President was forceful and to the point tonight. God bless him. The next 48 hours need to be bathed in prayer. This is the time to pray w/o ceasing for protection for our troops. **

I loved it when Bill told Bayh to tell Tom Daschle to shut up.

Yep. They thought we'd cave after 9-11. They just stirred the sleeping giant. And I know I won't fall asleep anytime soon!

I'm beginning to think Chirac is being blackmailed by Saddam....his family threatened, or other sinister things....or else he is just as much a tyrant as Saddam.

This is great. Only hindsight can reveal the wisdom in Bush's decisions. Too bad Tom Daschle is blind.

LOL, I hate it when I'm so angry I can only articulate with playground insults, but today Daschle sunk to a new low. I've never called his office before, but that's going to change tomorrow.

Me, too! Bayh is my senator, and he has to be sweating bullets over Daschle's behavior, especially since Bayh sits on the Intelligence Commitee and KNOWS about what Bush has had to contend with. I noticed Bayh emphatically said Saddam DOES have chem and bio weapons.

Sitting here listening tonight, I really realized that WAR is coming- what a burden it would have to be to be the final say on whether or not to send our men and women into danger. I am so glad W is our president. I know this is only done after MONTHS of trying for peace, and months of prayer.

It is so wonderful to have a president that is not afraid to do what's right, and to make difficult decisions that need to be made.

Woo Mama, W looks like he's taking off the gloves too! LOVE the tie, BTW.

In that other photo, Daschle looks like he's been bannished to the corner of the room! He certainly deserves it. How President Bush can even be in the same room with that worm is beyond me.

Please stop by and tell this sailor just what we think of him. He signed up on FR today to thank us for supporting our military. Let's really give him a warm welcome and let him know how very much we support them!

Just a sailor stopping by

My word, President Bush looks so drained! I realize this is a heavy burden that has been placed on his shoulders (that was conveniently deferred by Clinton), but I didn't notice the strain being this bad until now.

I sure hope once this war starts that the whole world will come together and wipe out a significant backbone of the terrorists on this planet. It will be then that President Bush will get the credit and adoration he so richly deserves.

I hate to say this but,IMO, Evan is an opportunist. He'll say what ever he thinks will make him look good at the time. I imagine he poled the fair people of INdiana before he opened his mouth. I'm not certain he has any personal convictions.

He claims to be conservative and then votes just the way the eastern blockheads tell him to vote.
