A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 3/17/03

The tyrant will soon be gone. With those words, President Bush left no doubt with Saddam Hussein or with the world that the years of a brutal dictatorship in Iraq will soon be over. In an address to the American people, and to the Iraqi people, Bush reiterated the many steps for diplomacy and peace that the United States and her allies have followed in the past 12 years- to no avail. The President told the Iraqis that their liberation is near and warned any Iraqi soldiers to think twice before releasing chemical or biological weapons. Bush also issued warnings to any terrorists that, 'If our enemies dare to strike us, they and all who have aided them, will face fearful consequences.' Earlier in the day, Bush met with congressional leaders and outlined tonights speech, and ultimately prepared them for military conflict. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya! I know I will.

>>>>>Both Carter and Clinton IMO are failed presidents who are hopelessly trying to rewrite the history of their legacies. The moving finger has already written it.

Both will go down in history as complete failures. No doubt in my mind.

"I wouldn't be surprised to find out Chirac aided in 9/11. THAT is how despicable I find the French!"

Didn't the French TOADS have a best seller book on the market entitled "9-11 Never happened" or something like that? If I remember correctly it was on their best seller list for months, thousands or millions were sold! They hated us even before 9-11. How dare they accuse us of fabricating 9-11! How DARE they say 3000 of our countrymen and women never perished in those buildings! I hate the drunken TOADS! BASTARDS! I hope we bring all our servicemen buried there HOME!! We will NEVER FORGET how the French TOADS BACKSTABBED us!! NEVER!

Still dealing with the pesky rash. Come to think of it, it started in January of 2001 ..... it must be Bush's fault ..... ;-)

Kidney stones ..... OUCH! I've never had them but understand they are really rough. Prayers for you, m'dear!

It was August 4th, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN and my MOM went WITH me to their concert. It was the first concert I ever went to. Part of me was kinda leary of having to be "escorted," but mostly I was so excited about getting to go!

Talk about the eternal optimist, before I left, I put out all my fan magazines, because I just knew that we would meet them and invite them to our house. Well, since they would be coming back home with us, they needed to know what a dedicated fan I was. Okay, so can you say, "Little House on the Prairie syndrome?"

Sure, Davey WAS the cutest, but I liked Mickey, too -- because he was the funniest.

****************

Now, for the REAL reason I posted....

WHAT A GREAT PRESIDENT WE HAVE!!!! I'M SO PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN.

Dear God, please protect President Bush, his family and Administration, and give them the clear thoughts, and all the good night's sleep that they will truly be needing, and please protect our troops with your loving arms, and bring them home safe. May we all rejoice when the people of Iraq are liberated, once and for all.

"SHINE SWEET FREEDOM, SHINE THE LIGHT ON ME!"

Fox News showed the shots of the President with Barney and Spot numerous times throughout the day - as if trying to show that the President can take a break, and play with his dogs, while preparing for this speech tonight. What I love is when he has the tennis racket, as he did today, and hits the ball really far. He also had something that looked like an old soccer ball - and Barney tries to nudge it along, or climb on it. It was all too funny, and to my mind, they didn't show enough of it.

The speech tonight was awesome. I have to believe that our troops, who throughout the day said that they were going to stay up, or get up early to see it, were reassured by their CinC - that he is looking over his calendar, checking out phases of the moon, and getting his commanders ready.

Let's roll.

rintense, that was a great recap of the President's speech.

About the speech, only three words:

STRONG, COURAGEOUS, HONORABLE.

I love that man.

Here's an email you might enjoy:

Subject: A Presidential decision

You are the President of the United States.
Scientists have discovered a meteor that is headed toward
the Earth. They have calculated that it will strike France
in two days at approximately 2:30 A.M.

The meteor is large enough to completely wipe France from
the face of the Earth forever. France and the UN have
requested that the US send all available ships and aircraft
to help evacuate the country.

Among the ships and planes you could be sending are many
that are being used to fight the war on terror overseas.

As the President, you must decide: Do you stay up late the
night of the impact to watch the coverage live, or tape it
and watch it in the morning?

Lawrence Eagleburger just called Carter "despicable."

I heard that .. he said Carter in 91 had contacted a number of countries to go against us

What the hell is wrong with that man and WHY doesn't someone shut him up

as if trying to show that the President can take a break, and play with his dogs, while preparing for this speech tonight.

It is also a way to show that our President can get out in the light of day! He doesn't have to hide from his own people in bunkers under his house, unlike Sodamn Insane!!

Patti, You tell me what you need and I will help, I can send a check or give me a list of items to go and get and it will be in your mail box ASAP.

I have started a yellow ribbon campaign at my shop, I bought several rolls of yellow ribbon last week and half of it is gone already.

Now that action is near, I wonder if sending pictures of "Support our Troops" rally's might be a comforting gesture for our best and brightest?

HEH...HEH...I was right....Nuance is a FRENCH word..."and nuer in turn produced nuance, which in Middle French meant "shade of color." English borrowed nuance from French in the late 18th century."

Ah, to be young again! My younger sister and I went with an Aunt, who used to take us with her daughters (our cousins) who were my age and my younger sister's age, and an older teenage friend of ours to concerts and Mardi Gras and all kinds of fun stuff.
