Democrat Conyers to Protesters: Impeach Bush

WASHINGTON (GOPUSA News) -- On Saturday, thousands of protesters once again gathered in the shadow of the Washington Monument to hear speeches against war in Iraq as well as to express support for Palestine and demand universal health care. The rally was sponsored by the leftist organization, A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism).
Speakers from several other groups, including the Free Palestine Alliance, National Committee to Free the Cuba Five, and Queers for Peace and Justice took to the stage during the two-hour rally. There were calls for civil disobedience to begin Monday.
Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) addressed the crowd and urged them to "vote to impeach George W. Bush." Former Attorney General Ramsey Clark, founder of International Action Center, also called for impeachment, saying that the Bush administration is "committing the worst crimes known to humanity."
After the speeches, the protesters filled the streets to march around the White House. Marchers were kept at least a block from the executive residence by barriers and mounted police. Marchers made their way in a circular route back to the National Mall, but not before passing in front of a small group of loud pro-America counter-demonstrators from the Free Republic. They waved American and Marine Corps flags and shouted slogans such as "Swim to Cuba" and "War Freed the Slaves."
Congressman Steve King (R-IA) watched the march from Pershing Park and remarked that the protesters' message was "anti-American" and "anti-Bush." He observed that the flags carried by the marchers were those of Palestine, the United Nations, and even one of Japanese Revolutionary Communist League. More than one Gay and Lesbian rainbow flag was seen among the rally participants.
King noted that the only American flags in the march were desecrated in one way or another, some with the 60s peace symbol in the blue section usually filled with stars representing the 50 states. One flag had corporate logos instead of the stars. The Iowa congressman also noticed that the supposed cross-section of Americans that opposed the war were conspicuously absent.
When asked by GOPUSA News to comment on Conyers' call for the impeachment of President Bush, King said, "Where was Conyers when we had a president who deserved to be impeached?"
The Ugly American is the blowhard. I've left a lot of rhetoric unchallenged when I've heard it from fools lately (in personal contact). They are so far off the mark on their positions that I would have to spend 6 hours putting them on a track that their egos and political investment won't allow them to commit to.
I grin and bear it as they rail against evil "conservatives" and "right wingers". The simplest answer to the question "What makes us think that Saddam plans to use these weapons against us?" - Saddam has been stockpiling illegal arms since the peace agreement in 1991. That is a good indication that he does not have peaceful intentions. Whether Saddam plans to use them against the USA or a closer target like Israel does not matter.
The leftist gun control advocates would not sit back and let a released felon stockpile illegal arms with the belief that he would not use them for further criminal behavior. Mere possession is a crime for him at this point.
Even Bill Clinton conceded in a recent interview that his airstrikes on Iraq (which went unopposed by this crowd) just set back (did not eliminate) Saddam's weapons programs. He said that he knew it would have to be addressed again by the next administration.
At some point our nation will need to act with resolve to finish the problem for once and for all. That will require the removal of Saddam from power (not necessarily his death).
We do not need a UN resolution to go after Saddam. Everyone political neophyte blames former President Bush saying that we should have removed Saddam from power back in 1991. We had agreed to other nations that we would not pursue Saddam into Bagdad. When we get approval from other nations, we tie one arm behind our backs. Meanwhile we are fighting an opponent who does not even play by the rules to begin with (using outlawed weapons and techniques). We do not need to cross the line in tactics but we should not restrict ourselves from fighting war as the rules have been laid down for all nations.
Folks on the Take, IMHO...look at who benefits from an All-Powerful Federal Leviathan, the Politboro!! The DemonRAT Party has controlled Congress as its Self-Serving Politboro-style EffeteEliteCaste fer half a century (accountable to NO ONE), and now they are FReakin' 'cuz the DemonRAT corruption is being EXPOSED!! Conyers is a LUNATIC, a certifiably insane MORON, IMHO...and he's the DemonRATS' Best Spokesman, as far as I'm concerned...LOL!!
Seriously, the DemonRATS Shall Achieve Third-Party Status by '09...MUD
BTW...The Clinton Legacy Shall Be The Implosion of the DemonRAT Party!!
Trust me, I wasn't offended. I don't claim to know much about the demographics of Cuba.
If only it were that simple. Clinton has mastered the art of circumlocution and consistently not said anything concrete about our foreign policy. That way, when she announces are candidacy for the office of President sometime in the next few months, nobody will be able to criticize her for speaking out against the war. Joe Lieberman figured this out last night, and sounded slightly more sincere.
Didn't she say she was at the WTC on 9/11? Yea Right.
Despite holding office as junior Senator From NY (by way of Illinois, Arkansas, and Washington) Hillary attended exactly one 911 funeral: That of NYFD Chaplain Mychal Judge. But at least she made that one, and Father Mychal was a good man, right? Sure, but if only it were that simple. It seems that when Judge died, he was feuding with the Church about his openly gay status. Since his death he has been embraced by the NY loose sphincter community as "The First Gay Saint." Since this was the only constituent funeral Hillary chose to attend, her motive looks pretty clear. She was looking for gay votes. Like the cynical beotch she is, she used the days after 911 as a campaign opportunity. You can't make this stuff up folks.
