URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FROM PRESIDENT BUSH

I have refrain from shameless vanities, but feel that given the course of today's events, an urgent need to relay this request. Last wee, President George W. Bush had an urgent prayer meeting with a number of conservative evangelical ministers at the White House. This colleague of a ministerial friend of mine was invited to that meeting.
My friend's colleague expected to see President Bush tired and worn down when he arrived to meet these leaders to storm the throne of grace together. However, to this man's surprise President Bush looked refreshed and vigorous. When asked how he could be so peaceful, the President replied that he never felt stronger. The reason was that he knew that so many were praying for him. And he went on to say "when I am on my knees I feel real power."
Another minister at the meeting asked the President how the American people could pray for him in these trying days. He requested if we could ask God to give him clarity of mind to make wise decisions. He also asked that we would pray for his wife and two daughters because he fears for their safety.
In these hours, before our country embarks on what appears to be an inevitable conflict against a brutal and evil enemy, I would ask my dear Freepers to pray for our President, pray for his family, pray for his advisors, and pray for our brave military. To that end, I would ask that we set aside time tomorrow to bring these things to our God.
We are blessed with a prosperous and mighty land. Yet we cannot rely on our strength alone. Our help is in the name of the LORD.

I plan to go to bed with prayer on my lips and wake up the same way.
Almighty and everlasting God, bless and keep our president, our country, her people, and our fighting forces. May this just war be waged to Your glory and will and may the people of Iraq know the right of freedom given by You. May all who seek the face of True God find You. In Jesus' name, Amen

Dear Lord, we ask that You grant President Bush clarity of mind and grant him the wisdom he needs to make the right decisions in this time of national and world trial. We ask Your divine protection for his family, our nation, and our allies. Thank you Lord. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
And, being completely serious here: Praise God, and pass the ammunition!

Yeah-that is the prayer Pegita made-I loved it.
Quix- I read that Psalm 27 is our President's favority Psalm.
Think I will look this up and lift it up to our Father for our President.

Will certainly pray for your mother. May Heavenly Father bless you and yours in this difficult time. Remember, she'll be walking through the door, to a better place. You'll sorrow at separation, but you'll be with her again.
May the Lord of Light and Truth, comfort and heal. In the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. Amen

Done Bulldogs22. For every ONE who answers you on a thread, there are probably 20 who don't but they pray anyway.
Be at peace, my friend.

And a special prayer for Tony Blair and family and for all the members of the coalition of the willing.
May God and all his angels cover and protect them with their wings.
