Vandenberg Air Force Base authorizes 'deadly force' against trespassing protesters

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AP) - Security forces at Vandenberg Air Force Base may use "deadly force" against protesters if they infiltrate the military complex if a war starts, officials said.

Some anti-war activists plan to trespass onto base grounds in hopes of disturbing Vandenberg's mission and to vandalize sensitive equipment they contend helps guide the war effort.

How about we take some of these a$$holes and put them in front of our troops in Kuwait, so that when we go in, they can "visually experience the consequences of what they're doing".

That's what they still don't understand. Although they should - because Vietnam was in intellectual experience for most Americans but the WOT is emotional. Americans feel threatened. Libs are all about feelings, why don't they get it?

The average American understands instinctively that doing it the protesters way will get us all killed. The protesters can commit suicide if they want to - but the rest of us aren't even a little bit interested in doing that.

Apart from shooting to kill, they should charge them with sedition. That carries a large fine and/or imprisonment, and should 'send a message'. However, shooting to kill is harder to overturn on appeal.

That is why those of us who were or are in the Navy are very glad to have them in charge of defending certain locations.

A friend, an enlisted man in charge of a highly classified area on a ship years ago had a new LTJG try to enter without clearance and permission.

He told his marine lance corporal to shoot the JG if he tried to come in. The marine drew his 45, chambered in a round and said, Yes and where Petty Officer in Charge!" My friend said blow his kneecaps off, and we will courtmartial him later.

The clymer ran to the CO. The CO confined the clymer to his quarters except for watch duty and food for a week or so. My friend and his lance corporal were complimented by the CO.

It could turn out to be a deadly mistake on their part. Perhaps if enough get shot or killed they will finally understand that the military means business.

I seem to recall sometime in the late 1970s some mindless protestor was trying to stop a trainload of muitions (in northern California) and sat down on the train train tracks. The train did not stop, he lost both legs.

These protestors do not seem to understand that this train is not going stop because they are sitting on the tracks, if they do not move, they will be hurt, or killed. The responsibility of which, will be theirs alone.

From some of the sewage that I've heard come out of these clowns' mouths (my apologies to all real clowns, except possibly mimes), these people don't necessarily think it's a game. What they DO think is that, besides that they are correct and everyone else is wrong, is that they simply haven't done enough to convince everyone else. They don't see sitting in the middle of the highway during rush hour as an inconvenience to normal people, they see it as giving people "a chance to reflect and understand". From their point of view, people need to be "enlightened", and they will go to any means to do it.
