Seems like KaliFornia's 3-strike law should kick in soon.

And when it comes to disdain, Sheen wins the Oscar. For a man supposedly dedicated to Christian values of reconciliation and love, Martin Sheen has a very sharp tongue indeed. George W. Bush, he says, is a "thug," "dull," "dangerous," "a bad comic working the crowd," a "moron," and a "white-knuckle drunk" in denial about his past difficulties with alcohol. This nastiness is apparent, today, in too many people who say "make love, not war."

Wow! Spot on!

Martin Sheen's bio says he deliberately failed the entrance exam to the University of Dayton, because he knew his dad would make him go there and he wanted to beome an actor.
Did UD even have an entrance exam? Placement tests maybe, but an entrance exam?
Did Sheen even get his HS diploma?

Jed Clampett would make a better TV President than Jed Bartlett. I've never watched the show, and never will, but from what I've read of the positions espoused by the characters on the show, they follow a line that is the pacifism of Jimmy Carter with the elitist slickness of Bill Clinton.

Martin Sheen should secure the services of a physician to implant eyeholes next to his belly button. Martin Sheen needs the eyeholes, so that he can see out and experience the real world.
Martin Sheen has his head where the Sun does not shine.

"If I get arrested for anything now, I go right in the slammer." The actor's taste for martyrdom clearly includes neither the big house nor the loss of hundreds of thousands in dollars from his appearances in Aaron Sorkin's fake White House (Sheen reportedly earns around $300,000 for each episode of The West Wing Oh we could only be so lucky!!

I grew up in Dayton 20+ years and yes there are placement exams at UD. The college was actually a heavely populated Catholic college and is still academically difficult. He is a native of Dayton Ohio and my goverment teacher in H.S. was one of his brothers. Mr. Estavez......He is nowhere near as loopy as Ramone Estavez (Martin Sheen)

I grew up in Dayton 20+ years and yes there are placement exams at UDI know that many years back UD had placement exams, but I still wonder whether there were entrance exams when Sheen applied.
I know UD had a great great scholarship program through which the top students in each Ohio HS could attend UD. I think they got free tuitition. Maybe Sheen deliberately failed some exam that would have given him a scholarship. With 10 children in his family, I guess a scholarship would have been nice.
At any rate, UD was about the least expensive Catholic college in the nation back in the 60's.

"Jed Clampett would make a better TV President than Jed Bartlett."
LOL!!!!
...By the way Buddy Ebsen, the actor who played the Clampett matriarch, is a Conservative Republican. I found this little tidbit out while watching an episode of "E True Hollywood Story". Ebsen supported the congressional candidate who ran against the late Nancy Kulp (who played Miss Jane on the show), who ran on the Democratic ticket.

I remember that. Miss Jane was pretty left wing--I guess that comes from playing a dyke on TV. I think Buddy came out and aired a bunch of stuff about Miss Jane that helped defeat her, but I don't recall the specifics.
Isn't Buddy also the guy who was supposed to play the Tin Man in Wizard of Oz, but got sick and couldn't do it? Man, that would suck. He must be getting up there in years. Best wishes, Buddy, wherever you are.

...when he gave two of the greatest performances in the history of American cinema ...
I don't know much about pretend acting but I wouldn't attribute some noble performance to Sheen's performance. The uniform, explosions, and topic would have made anyone look important. Jim Varney could have played that role and the looney left would all be saying "Bravo!".

Oh, one other thing Jed would like to have cleared up--he's a patriarch, not a matriarch.
Here's a theme song for the Left Wing:
Come and listen to a story bout a man named Jed,
A TV President played by a commie red,
Produced and written by that Sorokin guy,
Until one day there came the FBI.
Busted that is. White powder. Good smack.
The next thing you know, the show's about to fail,
No one will watch a phony liberal wail,
Producers said better get your numbers high,
And suddenly they show a conservative guy
Only to...belittle him.
(banjo instrumental)
At the end of the show--
And now it's time to say goodbye to Jed and all his staff,
And they would like to ask you folks to please try not to laugh
You're all supposed to buy the line that this could really be;
And commies running everything is good for our country!
Set a spell. Take your clothes off. Y'all vote twice now, heah.
