FoxNews Alert just reported that Iraqi troops have left Baghdad with heavy artillary and are heading south to the Kuwaiti boarder. More troops with SCUD missle launchers are heading west. The thought is that Saddam is about to attack our troops.

This is breaking news and details are few and far between.

My prediction..If this is true, and their are troop and vehicle movement, bank on chem/bio being stashed in a few of them trucks. That works for me. Diplomacy isn't working. If we're going to do this anyway, we shouldn't allow ANY movement that in ANY way increases the risk to our troops. He should be getting his @$$ kicked as we speak, or we should pack up and go home.

I was concerned about unintentionally releasing these agents during a bombing operation and hurting our guys. I happened to speak with one of the generals in DS at a conference a couple of weeks ago and asked him about this. He told me not to worry as the heat from the bomb destroys the chem/bio component. He said that this factor makes these weapons very easy to destroy.

That's closer to 180 miles, and the only country that has anti-ship missiles with that kind of range is Russia (we retired the TASM a few years ago).
