The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us this Saturday, March 15, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. as we hold a patriotic counter-protest of the so-called anti-war march being held by IAC-A.N.S.W.E.R. in Washington, D.C.
While professing to be against war and racism, the groups behind this march have strong overtones of anti-semitism and support communist governments that wage war on their own people and other nations.
The D.C. Chapter will be making a patriotic moral stand against the marchers' anti-Americanism and willful silence about the barbaric, terrorist regime of Saddam Hussein.
We will also be sending a message of support to our men and women in uniform fighting the war on terrorism overseas and on the home-front.
Survivors of Saddam's reign of terror, many of whom are American citizens, will join us to put the lie to those who claim that the Iraqi people do not want to be liberated and to speak out about Saddam's crimes against humanity.
When: Saturday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: North sidewalk of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 15th Street and 9th Street.
Meet at 15th and Penn. at 1 p.m.
Bring: American and Gadsden flags (large and small), along with signs bearing messages supporting our troops, President Bush, America and the war on terror.
Weather: Mostly sunny, temps in the low 60s.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Breaking News; News/Current Events; US: Connecticut; US: Delaware; US: District of Columbia; US: Maryland; US: New Jersey; US: New York; US: Pennsylvania; US: Virginia; US: West Virginia
KEYWORDS: answer; dcchapter; march15rallies; march15rally

You are allowed to go to a protest as long as you are not in uniform. I'm active duty military and I'm going. Just make sure you are peaceful and stay out of trouble (no dustups with the loony lefties).

Someone needs to go through the ANSWER crowd with a "We Want Peace In Our Time" sign.

Just heard on WLS, Newstalk 890, (Internet) out of Chicago that three buses, 165 people are headed your way tonight.
Hope the weather is good and stay safe, sounds like they are bringing in the "rent-a-mobs".

"You mean DC and Valley Forge, don't you?"Yes. There has been some confusion from some PA Freepers about the Philly and Valley Forge Rallies. They are the same people. Valley Forge is in the Philadelphia area. Do a surch on "baseballmom". The details are there.
Best of luck all tomorrow in DC.

Well, I know where I'm going Sunday -- I was posed my question primarily to ensure that there was no confusion by any FReeper who wants to go but is unsure of the location.
FReegards, and I'll see you there Sunday!

PS Thanks for the best wishes on tomorrow. Should be no problems at all -- the DC police are our FRiends, and will cover our six quite well, TYVM.

Last week someone suggested "No Soap for Bath?", as a counter to "No Blood For Oil", and I am still chuckling about it.
To: tgslTakoma
Good luck. Sorry I won't be there tomorrow. I have to miss the NY rally next Sunday, too. :(
My only hope for a March freep is if there's one in Santa Fe during the next two weeks.
To: OkiDiver
Welcome to FR and we'll see ya on Pa. Ave. tomorrow.
To: nina0113
Don't let the ****ards get ya down. Maybe one of DC's Blues will have an opportunity to put a dent in his thick skull tomorrow.
To: Taxman
The Park Police will be covering our six also. We have a National Capitol Area Park Service Permit. We are getting calls and emails from lots of folks who want to join us tomorrow - we're going to have a great counterfreep.

Only three buses from a big city like Chicago? Interesting.
