Prayer List of Our Troops

Several of us who have been meeting on the Yellow Rose of Texas prayer threads have been discussing the need that we have for a prayer thread devoted to our troops. Freepers can post names and pictures of their loved ones in the armed services here. We can post our prayers and best wishes for them and their families here in a central place.

We are in the beginning stages of planning the thread. Please, if you have a loved one, post his/her name or pseudonym below, along with a picture, if you wish, so that we can begin work.

Please ping your friends to this thread. We are trolling for names of our troops to pray for.

Thank you so much for the prayers! May God give our president, our troops and their loved ones peace of mind, clarity of thought, courage, comfort and strength during these most trying of times.

On bent knee for our troops and their families.

Praying for all of the children of freedom. May God gently guide the hands of our our military to destroy the evil they are confronted with. May our fighting men and women return home as heroes, may our president be vindicated at the end of this war and may the anti-American crowd who is to blame for this war in the first place be held accountable for their actions.

Father, grant Gregory protection and angels to watch over him and his buddies at all times. Help him to perform all of his tasks with the excellence that is the tradition of his service. Surround him with our love and prayers so much so that he is confident at all times of support from home. Sustain his family and all who love him. Father, this which we call forth for Gregory, we call forth for all our precious young people serving this day. Amen

We do pray for your son PFC Eric, Army Reserves, activated. Father, wherever this young man travels, please sustain him by your arm. We are grateful for his service and that of his brothers and sisters under arms. Guide, guard, direct, and protect him in whatever challenges face him. Bless the family and friends of this young man. Thank you for adding LCpl Travis Groce and his wife LCpl Brandy Groce both in Kuwait.

Father, we ask for your protection and angels to surround this man and wife who are both serving under arms at the same time in the same theater of war. Father, bless and sustain the family they have left at home. We are so grateful for their service and love of this country. Let this very special couple at some level be aware of the appreciation and love we have for them. Father, guide them and all our troops in the days to come in performing their jobs with singleness of purpose and clarity. Let these and all our troops be victorious and carry the day with a minimum of loss of life according to thy will. Amen

Thank you, Blue, for adding Sgt. Daniel Mayzik of the 3rd Armor div. to our list.

Father, we are grateful for Sgt Mayzik. It has been said that sargeants are the backbone of the army and marines. Bless and protect them all and give them insight and wisdom in guiding their men in the field. We also recognize and are grateful for how they sometimes shepard the young lieutenants and officers with their experience and wisdom. Father, give a special blessing to this young man and all who hold rank of sargeant. Amen

Sueann did the thread after 9/11, and I wanted her to see your effort.

I mentioned my son, Tyler, in post #22 on this thread. He came back from Korea and has been in the middle East for 4 months. As I type, he is on his way back to the states, but I imagine his stop here will be a short one. I just learned this weekend that he is being rotated back, but I imagine he will now be available to go to another hot spot. For the time being, he is now out of there.

We are happy to add to our list and pray for your son Mitchell, USAF air refueling wing in Oman.

Our Father, bless the precious ones who are working on keeping our planes and trucks and tanks refueled. It is not an easy job. We ask that you will surround Mitchell and his buddies and all fuel supplies and protect them from any and all untoward incidents. Guide the ones who are handling the supplies from any lapses of judgement or mistakes. Fuel is volatile, so help keep these young men on their toes and wise in the execution of their dangerous job. We also ask that you will grant protection of the supply line of fuel supplies from any and all attempts to hijack it or attack it. We are grateful for the young men and women who have elected to serve this nation in this and all other capacities. Bless them and their families at home. Amen

Our Father, we pray for Cody, David, Trey, and Darby while they serve this nation in her military forces. Bless and protect them in the days to come. Comfort and sustain their families and friends at home. They and all their brothers and sisters under arms are giving this nation and the citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq a very precious opportunity: FREEDOM. The freedom itself is a gift from you, Our Father, as stated by our President. However, as you have shown us through history, forces of darknes hate freedom and do not want your children to live in the abundance and love and liberty that is your plan for your children. So we must choose sometimes to fight for our inheritance and birthright. Father, we thank you for this birthright and for the precious young people who see the vision of what this nation and world should be and are willing to make a stand for it. Bless them all abundantly. Let them be surrounded, each one with our love and prayers and your protection. Amen
